Zionist Organization of America - Strongly Opposes A Dangerous Palestinian State Which Reports Claim Is Being Supported By U.S. & Israel By ZOA Jul 9, 2025 Zionist Organization Of America (ZOA) National President Morton A. Klein And ZOA Director Of Research And Special Projects Liz Berney, Esq. Released The Following Statement: Reports yesterday indicate that President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu reached consensus on several “general fundamental principles.” Some of these principles are highly praiseworthy (see below) but others are deeply concerning. We need to say “no” to a Palestinian state: ZOA is deeply concerned that one of the principles is Israel declaring her willingness for future Palestinian conflict resolution under a “two states concept, contingent upon the Palestinian Authority reforms.” A “two-states concept” really means creating a Palestinian Arab terror state on land to which Israel has the sovereign right under binding international law. The “fundamental principle” should be saying “no” to a Palestinian state, as Netanyahu (see below), Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, the Israeli people and their elected parliament has repeatedly done up to now! After so many Israelis suffered on October 7th, and so many fought, died and suffered in the recent and ongoing wars to dramatically set back Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities and its terror proxies’ encirclement of the Jewish homeland, the last thing Israel needs is a Palestinian terror state in the Jewish heartland. After Israel suffered so much damage to stop missiles from Iran, it makes no sense to make any agreements or take any steps toward creating a Palestinian state that can and will use the Judean Hills to fire rockets into Israel’s population centers. A Palestinian state would moreover reward perpetrators of October 7th – including Fatah, the Palestinian Authority’s governing party, which gleefully participated in the October 7th massacres. ZOA reminds all concerned that last July (2024), the Israeli Knesset overwhelmingly voted (68 to 9) that the Knesset opposes the creation of a Palestinian state. (The only nine votes against this were from the Arab Knesset members.) Further, an agreement to create a Palestinian state – even a future or conditioned agreement – will likely be illegal. Under Israel’s Basic Law: Referendum (2014) (Israel’s closest equivalent to a constitution), any agreement that causes Israeli law, jurisdiction or administration to no longer apply to territory in which they currently apply, including an agreement that involves a future undertaking, and a conditioned undertaking, must be approved by either: a majority of the Knesset plus a national referendum, or two-thirds (80 members) of the Knesset. Given the Knesset’s and the Israeli public’s strong opposition to a Palestinian Arab terror state, a Knesset vote or referendum agreeing to a “two states concept” is not likely to pass. Praiseworthy items: The highly praiseworthy general principles that President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly agreed to include: “remaining Hamas leadership will face exile to other countries;” “multiple nations globally will accept numerous Gaza inhabitants seeking emigration;” and the Abraham Accords will be expanded. Another principle reportedly agreed to (“The United States will acknowledge limited Israeli sovereignty implementation in Judea and Samaria”) is helpful, but “limited” sovereignty does not go nearly far enough. Israel has the right to Judea and Samaria under binding international law. This is home to over 600,000 Jews, and is the historic and religious heartland of the Jewish people. Serious issues items: There are additional serious issues with several general fundamental principles reportedly agreed to: • Only one contingency is mentioned regarding a Palestinian state (“Palestinian Authority reforms”). It is unclear what this means. There is no mention of even the pre-conditions described in President Trump’s 2019 Peace to Prosperity Vision, such as full, permanent demilitarization; overall Israeli security control; monitoring to prevent diversion of dual use items for terror purposes; ending the Palestinian Authority’s terror incitement and financial and other incentives to terrorists, etc. • Egypt is mentioned as one of four Arab nations that will administer the Gaza strip. This is extremely concerning, in light of Egypt’s massive recent buildup of military forces and Infrastructure on its border with Israel, which violates the 1979 Israel-Egypt Peace Treaty and poses a major threat to Israel. Giving Egypt a role in Gaza would provide Egypt with an expanded springboard for endangering and potentially attacking Israel. This isn’t what Israelis fought and died for in Gaza. • There is no explanation of how or when the hostages “will gain freedom” – only a statement that this will somehow occur. By contrast, the reported principles call for hostilities in Gaza to end in two weeks. How can hostilities end in two weeks if the hostages are still not home by then? ZOA urges the U.S. to exert massive pressure on Iran, Qatar and Turkey to obtain the hostages’ release now. There is no mention of this in the agreement. • The security of Israel’s southern communities requires that Israel retain at least some of Gaza. But this is not mentioned. Netanyahu’s Warnings Against a Palestinian State: For numerous good reasons, Prime Minister Netanyahu has repeatedly opposed a Palestinian state and recognized that such a state would be an existential threat to Israel.[i] For instance: • In June 2023, Prime Minister Netanyahu stated during a Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting: “We need to eliminate their [Palestinian Authority Arabs’] aspirations for a state.” (See “ZOA Praises Prime Minister Netanyahu for Opposing Creation of Palestinian Arab (Terrorist Dictatorship) State,” June 27th, 2023). • In March 2018, Netanyahu stated in The New York Times that a Palestinian state “doesn’t work. . . . When we leave land, Arab terror organizations take over. Immediately.” • In July 2017, Netanyahu’s Likud Party (Israel’s largest political party) formally voted to oppose forming a Palestinian Arab state. • In 2015, Netanyahu promised he will not allow a Palestinian Arab state, saying: “Whoever moves to establish a Palestinian state or intends to withdraw from territory is simply yielding territory for radical Islamic terrorist attacks against Israel.” • Netanyahu correctly explained, in his famous 2002 speech to the Likud Central Committee, that a Palestinian Arab state would never keep a demilitarization agreement; would make alliances with foreign powers; would import weapons; would shoot down Israeli planes; and cause Israel to be blamed and curtailed if Israel attempted to enforce demilitarization and prevent terror. Netanyahu declared that if Israel agreed to a Palestinian Arab state, “We will thus have created with our own hands a threat to our very existence.” [i] The sole exception was Netanyahu’s Bar Ilan University speech in 2009 suggesting he would accept a demilitarized Palestinian state under a series of conditions which the Palestinian Arabs have never met and will likely never agree to. Netanyahu made the speech under severe pressure from then-President Obama. (Photo Credit: ZOA) Previous Next

  • Festival Future - Amid Chaos And Anxiety, 'Festival Of The Future' To Focus On Utopian Future; Bringing Calm To The Present | sun-times

Festival Future - Amid Chaos And Anxiety, 'Festival Of The Future' To Focus On Utopian Future; Bringing Calm To The Present By Rabbi Moishe Kievman - Chabad Chayil May 2, 2025 Amid An Atmosphere Of War, Sickness, And Global Financial Uncertainty, Local Chabad Rabbis Are Leading A Campaign To Raise Awareness Of A Little - Known Jewish Holiday, This Year Dubbed ‘Festival Of The Future,’ Focusing On Bringing A Message Of Hope For The Future And Serenity To The Present. The holiday of Passover — this year began at sundown on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 and ended on Sunday April 20th, 2025 — and its Seder nights are well known — and were observed throughout the great state of Florida with public Seders in almost every city and the distribution of Shmurah Matzah (the Rolls-Royce of matzah) — but the eighth and final day of Passover has its own focus: the utopian future of the Messianic era, when ‘nation shall not lift the sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.’ As the world reels from the devastating effects of conflict, Chabad rabbis throughout the state will lead their Jewish communities in celebrating the future era of peace. During this time of upheaval, it’s crucial that we find ways to bring peace of mind into our lives. On the last day of Passover, our focus shifts from the past redemption of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt to the future redemption and the utopian Messianic era. While we eagerly await this era of global friendship and peace, we can bring its lessons into our lives today. Synagogues everywhere will mark the day by reading the Haftorah and studying the Biblical vision of the Messianic Era, participate in interactive sessions guiding participants in finding ‘Oasis of Calm’ in the current climate. The last day of Passover ("Acharon Shel Pesach") is particularly associated with Moshiach and the future redemption. The Haftarah (reading from the Prophets) for this day is from Isaiah 11, which describes the promised future era of universal peace and divine perfection. Rabbi Yisrael Baal Shem Tov instituted the custom of partaking of a ‘Moshiach's meal’ on the afternoon of the last day of Passover; in addition to the matzah eaten at ‘Moshiach's meal,’ the Rebbes of Chabad added the custom of drinking four cups of wine, as in the seder held on Passover's first days. Local Chabad’s will cap off the day with Seudas Moshiach, a special holiday farewell meal. During this traditional and mystical feast scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, April 20th, 2025, community members focused on bringing the Messianic message of harmony into their own lives. All are of course were welcome to join us at Chabad Chayil as we closed out the Passover holiday together, enjoying wine, matzah and other Passover goodies, discussing words of Torah with inspirational stories, singing Chassidic melodies and finding out why this day has a special energy related to the coming of Moshiach. There will be a Yizkor Memorial service that Sunday at 11:30 a.m. and the festive inspirational meal was at 6:30 p.m. While our world is still very much an imperfect place, if we look beneath the surface, we can see that we are already on the path towards a more perfect world. Yes, there is still war between nations — but it is condemned by the vast majority of the globe, as peace is valued now more than ever. Yes, there is still illness, but modern medical advances are bringing hope to millions. On the last day of Passover, we will focus on finding the goodness that is already in the world, bringing the serenity and calm of the utopian future for which we hope into our lives today. As the final notes ring out and the audience rises in applause, they won’t just be responding to the orchestra — they’ll be echoing a shared truth, one carried across generations: We are one. Am Israel Chai. For more information, please contact Milena Liascovitz at: mliascovitz@arpigroup.com. Or call: (305) 788-2456. Previous Next

  • Sunset Estates, A $110 Million Architectural Waterfront Compound On Sunset Islands III | sun-times

Sunset Estates, A $110 Million Architectural Waterfront Compound On Sunset Islands III South Florida Sun Times Jun 4, 2026 Sunset Estates, One Of The Most Architecturally Significant Waterfront Compounds To Debut In Miami Beach In Recent Years, Has Officially Entered The Market For $110,000,000. Located Within The Exclusive Guard-Gated Sunset Islands III, The Trophy Estate Combines Two Newly Completed Modern Waterfront Residences Across More Than 32,000 Square Feet Of Prime Land With 187 Feet Of Combined water frontage. Ana Teresa Rodriguez, CEO of ATR Luxury Homes Group At Coldwell Banker Realty, Is Representing The Seller. Positioned at 1400-1420 West 23rd Street in Miami Beach, Sunset Estates was envisioned as a one-of-one modern tropical compound designed to meet the growing demand for ultra-private, design-forward waterfront living in Miami’s luxury market. The estate merges architectural scale, resort-style amenities, and compound-style living within one of Miami Beach’s most coveted island enclaves. It was originally developed by luxury developer Todd Michael Glaser in 2020. Surrounded by lush landscaping, expansive terraces, an Olympic-length lap pool, spa, and dramatic waterfront entertaining spaces, the compound consists of a primary waterfront residence paired with a detached guest residence — both intentionally designed with matching contemporary architecture defined by exposed concrete, Brazilian Ipe wood, soaring 12-foot ceilings, elevated finishes, and seamless indoor-outdoor integration. The primary residence, which was designed by Internationally Recognized Architect Kobi Karp and developed by Todd Michael Glaser in 2020, features six bedrooms, six bathrooms, powder room, cabana bath, private office, family room, private bar, smart home technology, private elevator, and a gated covered motor court accommodating more than 10 vehicles. The waterfront primary suite was designed as a private retreat featuring dual dressing rooms, spa-style bath, private terrace, and outdoor shower overlooking the water. The detached guest residence was ultimately completed in 2025 following the current owner’s 2022 off-market acquisition and redevelopment of the neighboring property, further expanding the compound’s architectural vision while introducing a new level of flexibility and privacy within the Miami Beach market. The residence includes two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, full kitchen, waterfront gym, conference lounge, and a dramatic double-height garage, allowing the compound to function as both an ultra-private residential retreat and a sophisticated hospitality-driven lifestyle environment. “Miami Beach has evolved into one of the world’s most important luxury real estate destinations, and buyers today are searching for properties that deliver privacy, architectural significance, waterfront lifestyle, and turnkey living all within one experience,” said Rodriguez. “Sunset Estates represents a level of scale, land, and compound-style living that is becoming extraordinarily difficult to recreate within Miami Beach’s most exclusive waterfront neighborhoods.” Located steps from Sunset Harbour and within minutes of the Design District, Downtown Miami, and Miami Beach’s premier dining and cultural destinations, the estate is listed at a moment when demand for trophy waterfront properties across South Florida continues to accelerate, fueled by domestic migration, international wealth, and the city’s growing position as a global luxury capital. Unlike traditional single-residence estates, Sunset Estates showcases a compound-style concept increasingly sought after in Miami Beach, offering a fully integrated secondary residence designed for extended family, executive operations, wellness, hospitality, or private guest accommodations while maintaining architectural continuity throughout the property. The launch of Sunset Estates further reinforces the continued evolution of Miami Beach’s ultra-luxury market, where buyers increasingly prioritize privacy, security, larger land assemblages, wellness amenities, and properties capable of functioning as fully self-contained lifestyle environments. “Today’s luxury buyer is no longer simply purchasing a home,” Rodriguez added. “They are purchasing a complete environment — a place designed for entertaining, wellness, privacy, boating, family, and lifestyle. In today’s market, time has become one of the greatest luxuries, and Sunset Estates was created to embody all of those elements at the highest level.” About ATR Luxury Homes Group: Founded by Ana Teresa Rodriguez, ATR Luxury Homes Group is Coldwell Banker's No. 1 Small Team in Southeast Florida, renowned for its expertise in luxury waterfront properties, new construction, and concept-driven real estate strategies. What's In The Water North Miami Beach? - Congresswoman Frederica Wilson Urges North Miami Beach To Keep Fluoride In Drinking Water Aventura Digest Apr 24, 2025 This Month The City Of North Miami Beach Will Consider Removing Fluoride From Its Drinking Water. On April 11th, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson Sent A Letter To The City Of North Miami Beach Mayor, Michael Joseph, Urging The City Of North Miami Beach To Keep Fluoride In Its Drinking Water Ahead Of Their Tuesday City Commission Meeting. See The Letter Below. Last week, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson also issued her support for keeping fluoride in Miami-Dade County’s drinking water. Here is the full letter text to North Miami Beach: Dear Mayor Joseph: Thank you for reaching out to me regarding your concerns about the ongoing debate surrounding the Fluoridation of drinking water and its impact on children and our community as a whole. I share your concerns, and I have been—and continue to be—very vocal about the risks and potential harm that could result from removing Fluoride from our water supply. It is truly unfortunate, and even difficult to believe, that after so many years of documented success demonstrating the positive impact of Fluoridation—including dramatic improvements in Dental Health and the prevention of childhood cavities—this issue has become politicized. Decades of scientific research have consistently shown that Fluoridation is one of the most effective and affordable public health measures. It not only protects oral health by strengthening teeth and preventing decay, but also significantly reduces other costs associated with poor Dental Health, such as the need for dentures, surgeries, hospitalizations, missed school, workdays and even the emotional toll of low self-esteem. Together, we represent some of the largest minority communities—many of whom are either unserved or underserved and lack access to convenient, affordable Health and Dental Care. Many individuals in these communities are not adequately informed about proper oral hygiene practices and lack access to the foods, toothpaste, and mouthwash that support good oral health. Opportunities to expand education and awareness around oral health, along with increased access to community dental services, deserve our highest level of continued support. We are fortunate to have the support of our Miami-Dade County Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava, on this important issue. The Mayor recently convened a panel of dental and medical experts who refuted claims that our water is unsafe due to Fluoridation. They strongly support the continued use of Fluoridation as a means of improving Dental Health. For the good of our entire community—especially those we serve—we, too, must stand up and make our voices heard in support of Fluoridation. Sincerely, Frederica S. Wilson Member of Congress CC: North Miami Beach City Commission Congresswoman Frederica S. Wilson is an eighth-term lawmaker from Florida, representing parts of Northern Miami-Dade and Southeast Broward counties. A former state legislator and lifelong educator, she founded the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, a mentoring and dropout prevention program for boys and young men of color. The Florida lawmaker sits on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Education and Labor Committee. She serves as the Ranking Member of the Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. An Opposing Point of View According to Dr. John Doull, Chairman of the National Research Council's review on Fluoride in drinking water, “We’ve gone with the status quo regarding Fluoride for many years - for too long, really - and now we need to take a fresh look. In the scientific community, people tend to think this is settled. But when we looked at the studies that have been done, we found that many of these questions are unsettled and we have much less information than we should, considering how long this has been going on.” Commissioners in Miami-Dade voted earlier in the month to stop adjusting Fluoride levels in local drinking water, despite widespread opposition to water Fluoridation bans from national health organizations. The measure passed by an 8-2 vote, but Mayor Daniella Levine Cava vetoed legislation that would remove Fluoride from the drinking water. A Bill currently under debate in the Florida Legislature would bar local municipalities from adding Fluoride to water. Previous Next
