An Exciting New Season Kicks Off This October at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center

Absolute Bands, LLC presents Absolute Bands Live! featuring Bo Bice at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on Saturday, October 3 at 3 and 7 p.m. During his epic run on American Idol in 2005, his season became one of the most watched in the show's history. Following that success Bice was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame; fronted the legendary group Blood Sweat & Tears; recorded many hit songs including Inside Your Heaven which peaked at #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100; performed around the world; and now joins the world class musicians of Absolute Bands Live! This concert showcases the hits of Queen, Def Leppard, Journey and Bon Jovi reliving the sights and sounds that spark the greatest memories. Audiences can sing along to powerful renditions of Bohemian Rhapsody; Don’t Stop Believing; Rock Of Ages; and Livin’ On A Prayer along with many other greatest hits. There is nothing quite like a room full of fans singing together, swaying to a number one power ballad and rocking to legendary songs by legendary artists to keep audiences on their feet. Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida launches its 2026–2027 Season with Classical & Neoclassical Ballets at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on Sunday, October 4 at 5 p.m. This inspiring program brings together internationally acclaimed choreography, beloved classical masterpieces and contemporary works that showcase the extraordinary versatility of the company's artists. The evening opens with Vicente Nebrada's Pentimento, an evocative abstract ballet inspired by the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Audiences will also enjoy the exhilarating Spring Waters, Asaf Messerer's virtuosic masterpiece set to Sergei Rachmaninoff's passionate score. Another highlight of the evening is the United States premiere of Maestro Vladimir Issaev's Four Seasons, an exquisite collection of four pas de deux choreographed to music from Giuseppe Verdi's Les Vêpres Siciliennes. The program also welcomes the return of Corpus, choreographed by Lusian Hernandez to Frédéric Chopin's Rondo à la Krakowiak. Concluding the evening is Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida's first presentation of the magnificent Raymonda Grand Pas. Set to Alexander Glazunov's radiant score, Marius Petipa's celebrated masterpiece is one of the great jewels of the classical ballet repertoire. From poetic contemporary expression to the splendor of 19th-century classical ballet, Program 1 – Classical and Neo-Classical Ballets offers an unforgettable evening that celebrates the enduring artistry, innovation and excellence that have become the hallmark of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. The City of Aventura opens its 2026-27 Season in a partnership with FUNDarte and Miami-Dade County Auditorium with El Perro del Hortelano (The Dog in the Manger) at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on Friday and Saturday, October 9 and 10 at 8p.m. and Sunday, October 11 at 2 p.m. Written by Lope de Vega, the play is a comedy of desire, jealousy and power. Countess Diana of Belflor prides herself on her independence and rejects all noble suitors until she discovers her secretary, Teodoro, is in love with Marcela, one of her ladies-in-waiting. Caught between pride and passion, Diana sets off a clever and dangerous game of manipulation, in which words become weapons and love becomes a contest of control. Witty, seductive and sharply observed, this Spanish Golden Age classic explores the line between desire and refusal, revealing how love, ambition and social class collide onstage and off. The production is presented in Spanish with English subtitles and is not appropriate for children age 4 and under.

Migguel Anggelo’s acclaimed ICONS series returns to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center with a dynamic new concert celebrating the music that has shaped Latiné culture worldwide. Led by Anggelo’s unmistakable voice, humor and theatrical flair, ICONS: Latin Rhythms is a joyful celebration of songs loved across generations. The performance is 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, October 16 and 17 and features music by artists including Rubén Blades and Oscar D’León, alongside Anggelo’s original work. The show blends classic sounds with modern style through fresh arrangements, unexpected mashups and playful surprises. Directed by Adrian Alea, with music direction by Jaime Lozano and an all-star lineup of musicians and special guests, this vibrant concert is a celebration of rhythm, connection and culture.

Miami International Piano Festival presents Two Piano Extravaganza: Six Pianists, Two Pianos at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on Sunday, October 18 at 5 p.m. The Two Piano Extravaganza features six pianists in one evening. The featured pianists are Albert Cano Smit; Julien Libeer; Reed Tetzloff; Stephen Beus; Kemal Gekic; and Ilya Itin. The program is scheduled to include pieces ranging from Mozart, Debussy and Rachmaninoff to Ravel and Gershwin.

Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida presents Dracula on Thursday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Audiences can experience the mystery, romance and haunting beauty of Dracula in this Miami premiere of Roberto Forleo's captivating full-length ballet. Inspired by Bram Stoker's legendary tale, this powerful production brings the iconic vampire to life through dramatic choreography, striking theatrical imagery and an evocative musical score. Blending classical ballet with contemporary expression, Dracula explores the timeless struggle between love, temptation and the eternal battle between darkness and light. Presented as a special one-program evening, this immersive theatrical event offers audiences an unforgettable experience unlike any other in Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida's season. Presented in celebration of the Halloween season, patrons are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the evening by attending in elegant Gothic, Victorian or Halloween-inspired costumes, becoming part of the mysterious world of Dracula and adding to the atmosphere of this unique theatrical event. Filled with suspense, passion and breathtaking dancing, Dracula promises an extraordinary evening of ballet and theatrical storytelling that will leave audiences spellbound. The City of Aventura partners with FUNDarte to present La Velada: An Alchemy of Past and Present as part of the FL.Flamencos series, co-presented with the Miami-Dade County Auditorium Away From Home series, at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on Saturday, October 24, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, October 25, at 2 p.m. The performance explores the meeting point between traditional Flamenco and the present moment. Inspired by the legacy of Flamenco and those who came before her, Marta Gálvez transforms inherited movement and memory into a personal, contemporary expression rooted in history yet distinctly modern. Born in Spain, Gálvez began her Flamenco training at age three and earned a degree in Spanish dance before continuing her studies at the Andalusian Dance Center. She has performed with leading companies and artists, including David Coria, María Pagés, Úrsula López, José Porcel and Juan Carlos Avecilla. Her honors include the Outstanding Dancer Prize (2015) and the Young Flamenco Artists Award from the Provincial Council of Córdoba (2023).
