Splash into Summer at The Beach: Sound Waves & Ocean Waves Will Fill The Air In Fort Lauderdale

Life is better at Fort Lauderdale Beach! This summer, join everyone under the sun to turn up the heat in Fort Lauderdale’s oceanfront backyard with a series of free, family-friendly events presented by the Fort Lauderdale Beach Business Community, which make up the City of Fort Lauderdale BBID.

The LOOP is bringing back some of its fans’ favorite bands, who first appeared at Friday Night Sound Waves from 2016 to 2021. Next up in the free family-friendly concert series is the Valerie Tyson Band who will perform this Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Presented by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Beach Business Improvement District, attendees are invited to come early to enjoy various pre-concert games on the main lawn starting at 5:00 p.m., along with local artisan vendors and a rotation of food and drink vendors to peruse during and after the show.

Cacao Vibes
All levels and abilities are invited to experience a beautiful sunset to Full Moon mystical evening on The LOOP’s main lawn featuring: Cacao Ceremony with Erik “Guru” Lieux; Breathwork with Jaret Brook; High Vibrational DJ Music with Erik “Guru” Lieux; Sacred Geometry and Vibration Integration by Jaret Brooks; Ecstatic Dance and Closing Kirtan featuring Zen Kirtan, Ecstatic dance is a form of dance in which the dancers, without the need to follow specific steps, release themselves to the rhythm and move freely as the music takes them, leading to trance and a feeling of ecstasy. The event will take place Thursday, May 23rd at 6:30 p.m.

What Is a Cacao Ceremony?
A cacao ceremony is a gathering centered around the consumption of Cacao, a plant-based extract made from the seeds of the Cacao Tree. If you’ve ever had chocolate (and who hasn’t?), you’ve tasted the fruits of the Cacao Tree. During the ceremony, you are invited to set intentions for yourself. The combination of Erik's Special Cacao Blend and the Music will allow you to travel in different realms and experience a feeling of joy and happiness. Caribbean American Heritage Month
Embrace the rhythm of the Caribbean this June as The LOOP Fort Lauderdale Beach proudly presents the Second Annual Caribbean American Heritage Month Celebration, presented by the City of Fort Lauderdale Beach Business Improvement District.

Since 2006, June has been officially recognized as National Caribbean American Heritage Month, a time to honor Caribbean Americans' vibrant culture and enduring contributions to the fabric of American society. In 2023, the City of Fort Lauderdale honored The LOOP with a proclamation, cementing June as Caribbean American Heritage Month in the city. Rooted in The LOOP’s commitment to engagement and its mission to provide an “Infinite Experience for Everyone Under the Sun,” the celebration at Las Olas Oceanside Park promises a colorful showcase of Caribbean culture through food, art, music and entertainment. Movies by Moonlight
The LOOP invites the community and their furry companions to the Movies by Moonlight “Dog Days of Summer” series. Locals and visitors of all ages are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and a favorite movie date to the main lawn at Las Olas Oceanside Park. Come early to dine at one of Fort Lauderdale Beach’s restaurants, shop The MKT starting at 5:00 p.m., or bring a picnic for dinner and a movie experience under the stars. Movie snacks and drinks are also available to purchase onsite, and limited chairs are available to borrow. The events will take place on Fridays in June, July and August. Dirty Dancing, Rated PG
Baby (Jennifer Grey) is one listless summer away from the Peace Corps. Hoping to enjoy her youth while it lasts, she's disappointed when her summer plans deposit her at a sleepy resort in the Catskills with her parents. Her luck turns around, however, when the resort's dance instructor, Johnny (Patrick Swayze), enlists Baby as his new partner, and the two fall in love. Paw Patrol, Rated G
When their biggest rival, Humdinger, becomes Mayor of nearby Adventure City and starts wreaking havoc, Ryder and the heroic pups kick into high gear to face the challenge head on. The MKT & Live Music

Take in breathtaking views and ocean breezes while perusing an eclectic array of homemade and handmade fare ranging from fresh produce and fruit to global flavors, made-to-order foods and unique items to wear and decorate the home. Open every weekend, year-round, attendees are invited to pull up a chair to enjoy a rotation of live music, participate in weekend fitness classes or celebrate the seasons with specialty events.
