- Alpha To Omega
Alpha To Omega PROFILES May 2021 May 15, 2021 Share This five-star rated company has a tech-trained and certified team that specializes in installing, replacing and repairing high impact windows and doors, garage doors, barn doors, custom front doors, French doors, sliding doors, folding doors, and secure back doors in homes or buildings With his company, Omega Doors and Windows in Ft. Lauderdale, Isaac Mansur has your home or business covered. His five-star rated company has a tech-trained and certified team that specializes in installing, replacing and repairing high impact windows and doors, garage doors, barn doors, custom front doors, French doors, sliding doors, folding doors, and secure back doors in homes or buildings They also design and customize outdoor screening of any size or shape, as well as provide repair or replacement services on these products. But what Mansur stresses to residents in South Florida is the importance of impact-resistant doors and windows. “I really believe every home and business in South Florida should be prepared with this type of protection,” says Isaac Mansur. Living in a hurricane-prone part of the world, high impact resistant windows can help preserve your home, storefront or office and keep your family and equipment much safer.” He added that the alternative, hurricane shutters, necessitate the home or business owner to struggle with heavy shutters or wood each time a storm or other threat is warned, or if left in place, would keep the family or business in the dark during safe times. “Impact resistant windows have other benefits, as well,” says Mansur, “such as reducing noise levels from outside traffic or construction, and providing greater resistance against intruders and flying objects . They also reduce energy bills by reflecting outside heat and UV rays, while helping to maintain the temperature indoors. And, he adds, “impact windows can qualify for tax credits through Energy Saving Tax programs, as well as possibly reduce insurance costs.” Mansur explains that high impact resistant windows combine the use of a strong frame and thicker laminated glass to withstand winds that reach up to 200 miles per hour or Category 5 wind conditions. The impact-resistant glass is manufactured with a thin strip of plastic layered between two sheets of glass utilizing a stabilizing lamination process. “Impact-resistant windows and doors are strong and are in place when you need them,” he adds, “and they do not change the outside appearance of the structure.” Mansur is very knowledgeable about safety with windows, doors and locks. Born in Israel, he grew up in a world of construction. His entire family, his father, brothers and cousins, are all in construction. When he first came to New York from Israel , his background qualified him for a job in the field. When he moved to Florida 20 years ago, Isaac enrolled in a state-certified program that involved regulations and codes. This prepared him for exams that would accredit Isaac as a licensed contractor for the installation of windows and doors in compliance with the stringent South Florida Building Code. That’s when Isaac formed his own company, Alpha Windows & Doors, Inc. This licensing qualifies Isaac to bid on behalf of Omega Windows and Doors for contracts on commercial, as well as residential properties. Aside from homes, that includes installation or replacement of windows and doors on high rise buildings, hotels, shopping centers and factories. Omega’s most recent project was replacing the windows and doors at the Hilton Doubletree Hotel in Sunny Isles. Omega also contracts with builder/developers on new projects. With this type of background and experience, Isaac can assess any problem situation and come up with accurate fast solutions. Likewise, he is able to customize and adapt to unusual structural challenges when it comes to screening and doorway challenges Omega Windows and Doors is a member of the Builders Association of South Florida, Florida Homebuilders and the National Association of Home Builders. All of Omega’s employees are certified, have undergone FBI fingerprint screening, are professional and work clean. They conduct their jobs under OSHA guidelines, and respect client privacy during their time onsite, under the supervision of a project manager. Mansur is sensitive to a family’s needs. He and his wife Rachel have raised four children in South Florida. His son Ben , who attends Florida International University, works with his father. His intention is to become a project manager for Omega. Isaac’s cousin Leo is one of Omega’s field managers. So, in essence, Omega is a family-oriented business. Other services that Omega Doors & Windows can provide are locksmith installation, repair and replacement, hinge repair, ball bearing roller repair or replacement, storefront glass replacement, frame repair, sliding door lock repair, molding replacement and anything having to do with windows and doors in a home or business. Omega techs are available for emergency situations, and same day service. Installation services are also available same-day. Isaac Mansur is a professional. His team equally is. They are state-certified. They work accurately, clean and quickly. The company complies with CDC regulations as to Co-vid safety. Isaac believes in making things easy for his clients. Job estimates are free of charge. Omega offers many payment options that include ApplePay, PayPal, Vermo, Zelle, traditional credit cards, and of course, cash. The company also offers its own financing plan. “My main concern is always for my client,” says Isaac. “We want to provide the best job possible, under any conditions. How well I know that family comes first. A homeowner should not be concerned about inanimate things like doors, windows, screening and locks. He or she should be most concerned about the safety of his family, and we are here to help ensure that. The same goes for businesses,” he adds, “since quipment and lost time are difficult to replace. At Omega, we are here to prevent that.” Omega Doors & Windows 4972 SW 35th Terrace Fort Lauderdale, Fl 33312 omegadoorsandwindows.com 954-682-3109 < Previous News Next News >

- Standing with Israel: A Message from the Mayor of Sunny Isles Beach
Standing with Israel: A Message from the Mayor of Sunny Isles Beach By Larisa Svechin, Mayor November 17, 2023 Share Saturday, October 7, 2023, will forever be known as a day of unspeakable abomination, unimaginable evil, and an excruciating reminder that hatred and Antisemitism persist as the single most dangerous blight on the Jewish people. Absolute evil and darkness brought unthinkable horror to the people of Israel, the collective Jewish community, and the world. This unprovoked Terrorist massacre by Hamas against innocent civilians, including babies, elderly, Holocaust survivors, women, men, and even pets, was an event we never thought we would witness again. Yet, it happened while we slept. Not since the Shoah have so many Jews been terrorized, maimed, raped, tortured, and murdered. The devastation of this atrocity will affect generations. Our community collectively mourns and weeps. In some way, we all have a connection to Israel, whether through relatives, friends, friends of friends, or just the fact that it is the only democratic country in the Middle East that shares our values and beliefs. For me, it is all these things. I anxiously await news daily from my family members and our community who are living or visiting Israel. Many in our community have deeper ties to Israel, and yet, we all jointly grieve and pray. Israel remains strong and determined in the face of this adversity; they will win. However, they do not stand alone. It cannot be stressed enough how important it is for us to stand with Israel, particularly with our sister city, Netanya. Sunny Isles Beach stands with Israel. I stand with Israel. In the coming weeks, and possibly months, we must maintain and uphold our support of the people of Israel and the Jewish community of Sunny Isles Beach. Our city is a place where civilized, kind, generous, and deeply spiritual people of many nations, languages, religions, and ages live and work. As we enter the holiday season and gather for Thanksgiving dinner, remember that we are all interconnected. Now is the time to hold each other up, take time to do good, and bring light to each day. We must never forget that “in the midst of darkness, light persists.” — Mahatma Gandhi Contact Mayor Larisa Svechin at: mayor@sibfl.net . Or: (305) 792-1753. < Previous News Next News >
- A Dedicated Public Servant: Hallandale Beach Has Lost One of Its Heroes
A Dedicated Public Servant: Hallandale Beach Has Lost One of Its Heroes By Hallandale Beach Mayor, Joy Cooper September 2, 2021 Share Bill with his mother Elise was a long-time fan of car racing, he proudly showcased his shiny red 1986 Corvette in local car shows Last Tuesday, Hallandale Beach lost another great Hero, Vice Mayor, Friend, Veteran and Dedicated Public Servant, Vice Mayor William ‘Bill” Julian. I first met Bill at a Crime Watch Meeting. As a long resident for years, he had decided to give back to the city and get involved in community service. During that time, former Mayor Joe Scavo, who was a retired New York Police Officer, was encouraging Bill to get involved and run for office. We had some great volunteers at that time in The Crime Watch. Chief Lawrence Faragher was our current Chief and Assistant, Chief Tom Magill, who later became Chief, had started a strong commitment, to address the rampant drug dealing, that was taking place in our city. The multi-pronged approach, included reestablishing the Crime Watch. Bill stepped up and became the President of The Crime Watch. Bill was also there to volunteer. He was an active member of The Crime Watch and later in 2001, he was elected to the Commission. In addition to The Crime Watch, Bill was also volunteering and working for the most vulnerable and underserved in the City. Chief Tom Magill, began our PAL Program, which is still going strong today. Bill and the entire Commission, were so excited to make sure our kids had a safe place to play and grow. We all got involved in Hope For The Holidays, Shop With A Cop, Poker Nights, etc. You name it, Bill was always there, with a helping hand. He also became involved in Kiwanis. He hosted A Pasta Dinner Annually, to raise funds for both organizations. In addition to The Crime Watch, PAL and The Kiwanis, Bill also volunteered with the Future Foundation. The Future Foundation, was established to support arts and cultural activities for our children. This program was run by a group of volunteers, from the City and Local Businesses. We held fundraisers, two concerts and provided grants to our Schools and Non-Profit Organizations. It was a shame, that negative politics had started to cast unfound attacks, on the good works of this group. Bill’s work did not stop there. He was a fixture at The Hallandale Beach Food Pantry, run by Paul Snow. He would do food pick up deliveries weekly and at one time, the pantry was up to two hundred turkeys, a year. Bill was also a Friend of The Hallandale POPS. He helped raise funds and attended concerts when he could. He also worked on The Cancer Society, Jail and Bail and when we held it, The Relay for Life. He also was a proud member of The Italian American Club, as well. As a Veteran Of The US Air Force and son of a WWII Hero, Bill was truly committed to supporting our Veterans. He was Commander Of The American Legion Post, right here, in Hallandale Beach. During our Memorial Day Services, Bill took great pride in displaying our Local Veteran’s History. He created tributes to them, complete with plane pictures and other items. Our History, would not be the same, if it was not for Bill. He championed our Historical Commission and worked with one of the daughters, of our founding Curci Family, to ensure that the Curci House and Village, were preserved. Bill also brought forward, on behalf of The Community Civic Association, The Renaming Of 8th Avenue to: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. He also worked to expand the MLK Parade to Hallandale Beach Boulevard. We always walked, side by side, along the route. He also worked outside of the City. When Hurricane Katrina hit, he participated, in a relief trip. He helped another Florida City, that was in financial difficulty, with the donation, of a used fire truck, that we were going to dispose of. On a personal note, Bill was a Dear Friend. My children grew up knowing him and he shared many family events. My Dad and Mom, also enjoyed seeing Bill on their visits, in the winter. After his Dad’s death, Bill was a devoted son. He was always by his Mother's side. He cared for many of our old single woman friends. He was always driving, Former Mayor Dottie Ross and Vice Mayor, Fran Schiller to events and conferences. He had one surviving Cousin, Steve Padovano. Sadly, Steve’s wife, recently passed away. Over the recent years with his health failing, I know he was disappointed, that I did not encourage him to run again for office. With his poor health and the continued stresses, of his Diabetes, I truly did not think it was wise. I encouraged him to continue to Volunteer, enjoy his life, his cars and focus on what should have been his top priority, his health. The last time we spoke, he wanted to get better and start back at the track, doing early morning horse walking. Service, however was in his DNA and one of his last FB comments, was that, he was running for Office, again. As friends, we enjoyed the best of times and the worst of times. I believe that is what life is about. Hallandale Beach, caring for others and helping those in need, were Bills passion. He was a true public servant and Hallandale Beach, has lost one of its Heroes. As of the writing of this article, the goal is to have a double brick dedicated, in his honor at our Veterans Memorial located at City Hall. If all goes as planned, it will be on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 around 5:00 p.m. Please follow my FB page for updates. A church service, may be held at St. Matthew's Church, this Friday, September 3rd, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., but this is dependent, upon on the receipt, of his ashes.
