This Holiday Season, Plum Market Aventura Is Bringing Its Specialty Departments Together For “The Art Of Hosting A Dinner Party,” A New Four-Part Series Beginning November 4 That Takes Guests Through The Essentials Of Entertaining At Home, From Creating A Seasonal Centerpiece And Selecting The Wine To Preparing Appetizers And Assembling Cheese Boards.
The free, hands-on workshops build on what Plum Market Aventura is known for: a curated selection of more than 27,000 organic, gourmet and locally crafted products, paired with exceptional hospitality and innovative retail experiences. With no private labels, the family-owned market emphasizes the expertise behind its offerings, bringing a more personal, informed approach to the everyday grocery experience.
“We want Plum Market to be a place where our guests can come for more than what’s on their shopping list,” said Marc Jonna, Co-founder and President of Plum Market. “These workshops give us a chance to share our team’s expertise with guests in a completely different way. We’ve put real thought into every detail so they can take some of that knowledge home and make it part of their own holiday traditions.”
The series includes:
• Build Your Own Floral Arrangement (November 4): Plum Market’s floral team will guide guests through winter floral design, from proper stem care and proportion to arranging focal blooms, fillers and greenery. Following a demonstration, guests will put the techniques into practice by creating their own seasonal arrangement in a Plum Market Mason jar to take home, along with tips for extending the life of their centerpiece.
• Holiday Wine Pairing Seminar (November 18): Plum Market’s wine team will host a guided tasting featuring four wines paired with four bites. Guests will learn the fundamentals of pairing acidity, tannins, sweetness and body with food, along with ideal serving temperatures, how much wine to buy for a gathering and how to properly open a bottle of wine. Each participant will leave with a printed pairing guide and a Plum Market wine key.
• Holiday Canapé Assembly (December 2): Plum Market’s Director of Culinary will demonstrate how to turn premium ingredients into polished holiday appetizers using approachable techniques and shortcuts for entertaining at home. Guests will then prepare their own sampler of Truffled Herbed Ricotta & Fig Tartlets, Seared Ahi Tuna Cucumber Bites and Prosciutto, Pear & Hot Honey Skewers while learning piping, garnishing and plating techniques along the way. Each participant will take home recipe cards and a Plum Market tea towel.
• Charcuterie & Cheese Board Building & Styling (December 16): The series closes with Plum Market’s cheese and deli team, who will guide guests through selecting and pairing meats, cheeses and accompaniments before demonstrating three charcuterie folds and the “anchor-river-fill” method for styling a balanced board. Guests will then build their own board to take home, along with a Plum Market spreader and recipe card.
