Spring Has Sprung: A Perfect Time of Year To Learn What Hollywood Parks Have To Offer

The City of Hollywood has some gems located throughout the City, you may even be a Hollywood native and have not seen some of them. Many of these parks are nestled in neighborhoods and a few are known across the state. So take some time to look into all of these parks we've listed, they each have something to offer. You might even learn something you never knew about the City.

Charnow Park and Paddleball Courts
(North Broadwalk & Connecticut Street)
Charnow Park is a beachfront park on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk that features shaded seating, picnic pavilions, playground equipment and a splash fountain for the kids. Adjacent to Charnow Park are six public paddleball courts that have been a popular feature on Hollywood Beach since the 1930’s.

Holland Park
(801 Johnson Street, Hollywood, Florida 33019)
Holland Park is located on the Intracoastal Waterway that features boat ramps, two pavilions with barbecue amenities, a bicycle path and nature trails, a waterfront observation tower and public restrooms.

Stan Goldman Park
(700 Knights Road, Hollywood, Florida 33021)
If you are looking for a place to skate or play pickleball, this is the park to head to. The Stan Goldman Park property is a passive park featuring a fitness trail, fishing area, playground, dog park and picnic areas. You will also find a very active 5-court pickleball complex and skatepark. The complex also has several restroom facilities.

Topeekeegee Yugnee Park (TY PARK)

Home to Castaway Island Water Park, TY Park features a full-hookup RV campground with Wi-Fi, 13 picnic shelters, an abundance of open picnic areas and a large, open field suitable for a variety of family activities. Especially popular with health-conscious patrons is the two-mile loop of paved pathways for walking, jogging, skating and biking. Other popular areas within the park are the large shaded playground, basketball and tennis courts, the fishing pier and the scenic lake water fountain.

Anne Kolb Nature Center
(751 Sheridan Street, Hollywood, Florida 33019)
Any visitor to Hollywood must stop in for a visit to the Anne Kolb Nature Center. This 1,500-acre coastal mangrove wetland is home to a wide variety of plants and animals, including some threatened and endangered species. Three extensive paddling trails offer access to this wilderness area for sightseeing, fishing and an observation tower with elevator access and offers unparalleled views of the Beach and the surrounding areas. Anniversary Park
(1945 Hollywood Boulevard Hollywood, Florida 33020)
Located in the heart of the Historic District in Downtown Hollywood, Anniversary Park is beautifully landscaped with magnolia and oak trees, bamboo and flowering shrubs. The park offers benches and game tables as well as a shaded and turfed playground area for toddlers and children.

Bicentennial Park
(7300 Farragut St, Hollywood, FL 33024)
This neighborhood park is a jewel to the Northwest Hollywood community providing a beautiful setting for quiet play for children on the shaded playground. It also features a lighted walking and fitness trail, half basketball court and restrooms.

Bob Butterworth Park
(5202 Washington Street Hollywood, Florida 33021)
This park features five benches and two checkerboard tables with seating.

Carlton Montayne Park
(6200 Arthur Street Hollywood, Florida 33024)
This active park has a trail, picnic tables, benches and a playground with swings on artificial turf.

Cathy & Bob Anderson Park
(5800 Thomas Street Hollywood, Florida 33021)
This well used neighborhood facility is located just east of 441. The park has a basketball court, a picnic pavilion, a shaded Tot Lot and playground on artificial turf, as well as a small parking lot.

Dog Beach of Hollywood • Dog Park
(4999 North Surf Road, Hollywood, Florida 33019)
Hollywood Beach, an area 100-yards long, is located between Pershing & Custer Streets. The Dog Beach is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. During Daylight Savings Time the hours are from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Passes are available on-site or at The Hollywood Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Office, 1405 South 28th Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33020. Earl Crofford Park

Emerald Hills Lakes Park • Dog Park

Eppelman Park

A park on the Intracoastal Waterway with a picnic shelter, park benches, swings and playgrounds with a covered and shaded structure over artificial turf.

Fletcher Street Park

This quaint neighborhood park has a shaded playground with artificial turf and benches.

Harry Berry Park
(301 Azalea Terrace Hollywood, Florida 33019)
A quiet passive park nestled in the south Hollywood Beach community with picnic tables, benches, pavilion, playground with shade structure, a climbing wall and swings for the enjoyment of visitors to this coastal park, located a 1/2 block from the beach area.

Henry L. Graham Park
(301 Azalea Terrace, Hollywood, Florida 33019)
This neighborhood park offers a playground, shade trees and park benches.

Hollywood West Skate Park
(6770 Garfield Street, Hollywood, Florida 33024)
Located behind the Boulevard Heights Community Center is a Skate Park, designed with the help of local skate park users. The skate park features a 120" X 90" skate area, including a half-pipe, rails and steps along with picnic benches for skaters to ride on.

Jefferson Park
(1501 Jefferson Street, Hollywood, Florida 33020)
The facility has four lighted tennis courts, paddleball courts, two basketball courts, 2 bocce courts, restrooms, playground equipment and a baseball/softball field.

Joe DiMaggio Park
(1001 Three Islands Boulevard, Hallandale Beach, Florida 33009)
This park features two playground units with shade structures, benches, fitness stations, swings, a walking path and a water fountain.

John B. Kooser Memorial Park & Exercise Trail
(1401 Polk Street Hollywood, Florida 33020)
This quiet neighborhood park sits next to Hollywood Beach Golf and Country Club among the shade of large live oak trees. The playground has an artificial turf surface.

John Williams Park/Sheridan Oak Forest • DOG Park

A favorite among scouts, overnight campers and nature lovers, John Williams Park allows a close encounter with nature while providing passive recreational activities. Site amenities include a dog park area; picnic pavilions; an instructional pavilion; picnic tables & benches. The park includes the Sheridan Oak Forest featuring a nature walk with interpretive signage for vegetation along the pathway. The park also has playground equipment and restrooms.

Kiwanis Park

This well shaded park has a playground, benches, covered reading corner and walkway.

Keating Park
(2500 South Ocean Drive & Magnolia Terrace, Hollywood, Florida 33019)
A beachfront park in Hollywood's South Beach area. Keating's shade trees provide a welcome respite from the South Florida sun for families enjoying the beach. Park amenities include benches, a children's slide and restrooms.

Lions Park

This walk-to neighborhood park with open space and a walking path is visible from Hollywood Boulevard. The southern end of Stan Goldman Memorial Park is accessible via a bridge crossing the C-10 Canal.

Lincoln Park

This recreation area is partially shared with the adjacent school. The passive park includes benches, playground, walkway and native vegetation. The softball field, playground and two basketball courts are available for use when school is not in session.

Mara Berman Giulianti Park in Emerald Hills

This charming park was named in honor of long-standing Mayor Mara Giulianti. It features a pavilion, picnic tables, a basketball half-court, a playground, benches and a bathroom.

Montella Park
(1231 North 69th Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33024)
A passive park with a pavilion, grills, picnic benches and a walking path. It's a nice little park for taking a break from everything.

Oakwood Hills Park
(2701 North 26th Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33020)
Oakwood Hills Park is a passive park on a canal with a walkway and benches.

Oak Lake Park & The Hollywood Community Garden

Oak Lake Community Center is a perfect location for baby showers, small receptions and private parties with a large meeting room and kitchen that opens onto a large concrete waterfront patio area. The park provides a small pavilion, playground, walking path and observation landings on the lake. The park even offers a Community Garden.

Oakridge Park • Dog Park
(5200 Southwest 35th Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33312)
This park was created in one day by Daimler Chrysler Executives working with City employees and Civic Association Members. The 37-acre site features a play area for dogs and their owners, two covered playgrounds, one on wood chips and one on artificial turf, two pavilions, a walking path, benches and two parking lots. ADA Accessible.

Poinciana Park • Dog Park
(1301 South 21st Avenue)
Known throughout the City by dog owners, Poinciana provides a location to stretch a pet's legs as well as a pleasant spot for two-legged visitors to enjoy a walking path, a shade structure covered playground, shoot hoops or enjoy a picnic. It also has beautiful poinciana trees.

Rainbow Tot Lot

A special place for toddlers with swing, slide, tunnel and benches.

Rose's Garden
(501 South 24th Avenue Hollywood, Florida 33020)
An eco-friendly neighborhood walk-to park which features a covered playscape for children ages 5 to 12. Fitness equipment is featured at various locations around the perimeter walkway.

Rotary Park
(3150 Taft Street Hollywood, Florida 33021)
This facility offers eight lighted baseball fields, five batting cages, a clubhouse, shade-covered playground with artificial turf, boat ramp, pavilion and catwalk.

Sailor's Point
(921 North Lake Drive Hollywood, Florida 33019)
Home of the Gulfstream Sailing Club. Facilities include a building with restrooms, outdoor shower, interior storage and adjacent parking on this waterfront site. The City of Hollywood's partnership with the Gulfstream Sailing Club provides year-round sailing lessons for youth and adults as well as summer camp opportunities. Sal Oliveri Veterans Park

This neighborhood park includes a picnic shelter with metal roof and playground structures with shade coverings on artificial turf. Benches and tables enhance the setting as well as a walking path, water feature and asphalt for hopscotch. The water feature with a palm tree in the center has a surprise button which creates the effect of a summer shower for those who test the waters.

Seminole Park

This passive park is lush with shady trees, nature trails, walkways and an ADA-accessible playground.

Charles F. Vollman Park

Zinkil Park

A quiet facility, this passive park is known for its lighted walking trail, 10 exercise stations, an interactive water feature, two playgrounds with shade structures, one with wood chips, one with artificial turf and restrooms.
