The 2025/2026 Aventura Broadway Concert Series Continues With Two-Time Tony Award Winner Norbert Leo Butz As He Takes The Stage For A One-Of-A-Kind Evening Of Story And Song From His Storied Three-Decade Broadway Journey On Friday, March 27th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. At the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center Presented By The City Of Aventura.

From his life as the seventh of 11 children (yes, his first bed was a drawer) to his unforgettable performances in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and “Catch Me If You Can,” Butz brings heart, humor and powerhouse vocals to this intimate concert experience. The show features highlights from “The Last Five Years,” “Wicked,” “Big Fish,” “Thou Shalt Not” and “My Fair Lady,” alongside personal stories and surprises.

Butz originated roles on Broadway in Jason Robert Browns’ “The Last Five Years,” “Stephen Schwartz’s Wicked,” “Andrew Lippa’s Big Fish,” “Harry Connick Jr.’s Thou Shalt Not” and the Lincoln Center 2018 revival of “My Fair Lady” where he was nominated for a Tony Award in both, and his two Tony-winning performances in David Yazbek’s “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and Shaiman and Whitman’s “Catch Me If You Can.”

Butz’s television and film credits include Netflix’s “Bloodline,” “Fosse/Verdon,” “Justified: City Primeval” and FX’s “Gladiator: American Sports Story” produced by Ryan Murphy, as well as the recent “Exorcist” sequel by David Gordon Green.

In addition to excerpts from his signature roles, this versatile hyphenate will share a few original compositions from his four solo records and some surprising covers by Tom Waits, Elton John, and Bruce Springsteen. Expect the unexpected in this singular evening of musical entertainment by one of Broadway’s legendary leading men.

Come Early, Relax and Enjoy

The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center recommends planning your travel so that you arrive at the performance no later than 45-60 minutes before show time. You should then budget about 15 minutes to park, walk to the theater and clear security. Please be advised that due to enhanced security measures they are asking all ticket holders to arrive early and travel light.


Arriving early also gives you time to relax and enjoy the pre-theater experience. Mingle with friends, enjoy food and drink specials up to 60 minutes prior to the show and settle in. Seating areas open 30 minutes prior to show time.


While going to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center is certainly a special occasion, there is no required dress code. Some guests enjoy dressing up and making a special night of it, and you can too, but most of all we want our guests to be comfortable.


Free parking is available in the lots adjacent to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in front of the Aventura Community Recreation Center and the Aventura City of Excellence School.


Valet service is available for most performances at $20 per vehicle. We accept major credit cards or mobile payment apps including Apple Pay and Google Pay. Valet parking is located at the main entrance of the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, in the circular drive. There is a convenient drop-off area in front of the building.


Special Seating & Assistive Listening

Accessible seating is available and can be limited. They encourage you to order early and to specifically request seating for wheelchair access, easy access transfer or swing arm seats.

Assistive Listening Devices are available in the performance space. These devices amplify and clarify sound for patrons who are hard of hearing. There is no charge for the use of the headset. If you wish to use one of these headsets during your visit, please ask any Front of House personnel in the lobby.


The Broward Center for the Performing Arts manages the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, a 14,864-Square-Foot, 330-Seat Waterfront Complex that hosts performing arts, cultural and educational programming for all ages.
