Love-In Music Festival: Music, Conservation and Nature at Greynolds Park

The festival will highlight live musical performances by Fire Brigade, Yesterday: The Beatles Tribute Show and Celebrating Queen. Patrons can also enjoy Octoberfest with German food and beer, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, a 60’s, 70’s and 80’s-themed costume contest, classic cars and other festival favorites. In addition, the Adrienne Arsht-Rockefeller Arsht Foundation Resilience Pod will return this year, giving away tree seedlings and discussing climate change, including food resilience and extreme heat in our area.

Fire Brigade
FIRE BRIGADE is a high energy Rock & Roll band consisting of Miami-Dade County FireFighters. FIRE BRIGADE started rockin’ back in 2004 in between the many calls at Firehouse 16 in Homestead Florida. The Band was founded by (Lead Vocals/Guitarist) Eddy Alarcon and in early 2004 the band took its show to local clubs, community functions, charity events and has been a supporting act for a few Rock N’ Roll Legends.

In 2011, FIRE BRIGADE made history by becoming the first ever FDIC Indianapolis Battle of the Bands champions! They were also named finalists for the 2010 & 2011 Hard Rock Café’s “London Calling” Battle of the Bands. Over the past few years they have developed a growing base of great friends and supporters including some diehard fans who are there for every show.

Yesterday: The Beatles Tribute Show
Don Bellezzo is the founder of Yesterday and a devoted musician, Don's tuneful expertise and brilliant vocals create an undeniably striking stage presence enhanced by perfect mannerisms, wit and stunning visual appearance. His sparkling tribute brings back cherished memories of the unique John Lennon. Once you hear "Revolution" and "Twist and Shout", you can't "Help" but "Imagine" you have relived the real legend on stage.

Bob Graham portrays John Lennon with uncanny accuracy. Bob, a polished "Beatle" performer and skilled musician has perfected his tribute to John Lennon and has traveled the country extensively portraying the "intelligent" Beatle.

Frank Mendonca is a natural when it comes to portraying Paul McCartney. Fron the "Cavern" era to "Let it Be," he has clearly redefined and perfected the role of "the cute one." From Las Vegas, Frank's sharp attention to detail wows audiences night after night and always leaves them wanting more.

Rich Fazzi also shares the role as Paul McCartney. He is a California native and personifies Paul McCartney. A musician from the age of 12, this multi-talented artist transports his audience to a more carefree magical era with his mannerisms, voice and look. You will be amazed with his depiction of McCartney.

Monte Mann is a native of Austin, Texas, Monte's affiliation with Yesterday has been over the span of 15 years. A brilliant lead guitarist, his portrayal of George Harrison is stunningly accurate. With striking stage presence and visual appearance, his portrayal is magical.

Celebrating Queen
The music of Queen continues to entertain a new generation of fans across the nation. With the release of the Bohemian Rhapsody Movie, there has never been more demand for the ultimate Queen Tribute and they are certainly one of the best Queen Tribute Bands out there. They play all the hits, from Killer Queen, Somebody to Love and Under Pressure to We are the Champions, Radio Ga Ga and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Greynolds Park
Greynolds Park is a 249-acre urban oasis, it was once the site of a rock quarry until the land was deeded to Dade County to become the third park in the newly formed county park system, opening to the public in 1936. Designated in 1983 as a Historic Site by the Miami-Dade County Historic Preservation Board and as a Heritage Site in 2004 by the Board of County Commissioners for its exceptional historic and archaeological significance, the park is most notable for the limestone rock structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps., the Depression-era program responsible for the construction of many of the nation’s treasured National Parks and State Parks.

The park offers areas for group picnics, two playgrounds, walking paths and opportunities for bird-watching with scenic views of the Oleta River. A fishing dock, canoe/kayak launch and bark park are also available at East Greynolds Park, a short distance from the main park. Camp Greynolds features an overnight camping facility with cabins, bathhouse and mess hall available for scout groups, Non-Profit Organizations and other organized groups with advanced reservations.

Attendees can also explore the extensive hiking trails through tropical hardwood hammocks and mangrove forests of the beautiful 249-acre park, a designated Miami-Dade County Parks Heritage Park. It is one of the last well-protected natural areas of northern Miami-Dade County.
