Miami Children's Museum's Not So Scary Halloween Bash - Sixteenth Annual Family-Friendly Halloween Celebration Features A Haunted House, Trick-Or-Treating, Spooky Science Activities, Pumpkin Decorating And More

Supported by Arison Arts Foundation and presented by Terra, co-chaired by longtime Museum supporters Marissa Neufeld and Lydia Pinnell-Lawrie, this year’s headline moment is the grand opening of Miami Children's Museum’s famously not- so-spooky Haunted House, built for little ghosts and goblins of all ages. Every dollar raised through this event directly supports the Museum’s educational programs, helping guarantee immersive, hands-on learning experiences for South Florida children of all backgrounds and abilities.

A Daytime Halloween Event Made for Kids

Unlike traditional after-dark Halloween activities, the Not So Scary Halloween Bash gives families with young children a comfortable and low-stress way to celebrate the holiday. Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress in costume, and the afternoon includes:

• Trick-or-treating through the Museum’s 17 interactive galleries

• Spooky science activities and hands-on experiments

• Face painting and pumpkin decorating

• Art activities and character meet & greets

• Sponsor-hosted activations throughout the Museum

• Lunch served by Diced, plus sweet treats from local vendors

The Fun Doesn’t Stop There: “Not So Scary in Miami” All October Long

Starting Monday, October 5th, 2026 the Museum extends the Halloween spirit with a full month of themed programming, including:

• Weekend trick-or-treating on Saturdays: October 10th, 17th, and 24th, 2026

• The "Glowing Pair of Underpants" Theater Troupe, performing twice daily on weekends

• The Haunted House, open daily throughout October

• Mini Monster Monday on October 26th, 2026 a toddler-friendly trick-or-treating day for the Museum’s youngest guests

• Mini pumpkin decorating 

• A mad scientist lab

• Costumes welcome museum-wide, all month long
