Get Ready For A Day Of Football, Family Fun, And Community Support At The 4th Annual Hollywood Brown Day, Hosted By Marquise Brown Of The Kansas City Chiefs. This Free Event Is Happening Saturday, July 12th From 10:00 a.m. To 4:00 p.m. At Hollywood PAL, 2311 North 23rd Avenue, Hollywood, Florida 33020.

Kick off the day with a drive-thru food distribution to help local families. After that, young athletes can join an unforgettable, free youth football clinic led by Marquise himself. Open to girls and boys ages 6 to 17, the camp will feature skill-building drills, games, and valuable training straight from a pro.


But there’s more than just football. Families can enjoy a community play day with interactive activities, plus a school supply distribution to help kids get ready for the year ahead. Free food, great company, and the chance to connect with fellow fans and neighbors make this a day you won’t want to miss.

Magical Evenings of Summer Storytime Light Up Hollywood Parks


Warm summer nights and the joy of storytelling come together during Summer Storytime in the Park, each Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., families are invited to gather under the open sky for free read-aloud sessions led by surprise guest readers.


The fun began on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025 at Kay Gaither Community Center, located at 6291 Funston Street, Hollywood, Florida 33023, followed by Washington Park Community Center, located at 5199 Pembroke Road, Hollywood, Florida 33023 on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025. On Wednesday July 23rd, 2025, the event pops up at 811 Glenn Parkway, Hollywood, Florida 33021 and the grand finale takes place on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025 at Zinkil Park, located at 5451 Washington Street, Hollywood, Florida 33021.


Designed to spark a love of reading and bring the community together, this event is a partnership between the City of Hollywood, the Children’s Services Council, and Broward Reads. Each child in attendance will receive a free book to take home—turning these evenings into gifts that keep giving.


Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, while soft blankets will be laid out for children to sit comfortably during the stories. The mix of fresh air, laughter, and imagination promises an unforgettable summer tradition for young readers and their loved ones.


Whether you're a parent, grandparent, or caregiver, make plans to join the fun and watch stories come to life each week. It's more than just storytime—it’s a celebration of community, learning, and the magic of books.
