The City Of Hollywood Continues To Invest In Technology To Make It Easier For Residents, Businesses And Visitors To Access Information, Complete Transactions And Connect With City Services. Among The Most Visible Improvements Are The City’s Newly Redesigned Websites, www.hollywoodfl.org And www.choosehollywoodfl.com, Which Are Now Live And Provide A More Modern, User-Friendly Experience Across Desktop And Mobile Devices. The Updated Sites Feature Improved Navigation, Enhanced Search Capabilities And A Refreshed Design That Makes It Easier To Find Information About City Programs, Services, Events And Departments.
The new websites are part of a broader effort to make more City information and services available online, giving customers greater flexibility to find what they need without having to make a phone call or visit a City facility. Whether looking for information about an upcoming event, reporting a concern, finding a department or completing an online transaction, users can more easily navigate City resources from a computer, tablet or mobile device.
Another major technology upgrade is the launch of Phase II of the Accela online permitting platform. The expanded system brings additional Development Services functions into a single online portal, allowing customers to submit building permit applications, track the progress of projects, schedule inspections and access case information online.
For residents, contractors, developers and business owners, the expanded platform is designed to simplify and help speed up the permitting process by streamlining workflows and making information and services more readily accessible online. Customers can complete more tasks remotely, monitor the status of applications and projects, and access information at their convenience, helping reduce delays and unnecessary trips to City offices.
Additional customer service improvements are also underway. The City is working toward a new Professional Call Answering and Information Service that will combine AI technology with live operator support. The goal is to help callers reach the information and services they need more quickly while improving responsiveness and the overall customer experience.
Technology improvements are also taking place behind the scenes. The City has established an internal Technology Committee with representatives from every department. The committee provides an opportunity for departments to share ideas, identify common needs and explore new ways technology can improve processes, collaboration and service delivery.
Together, these initiatives represent an ongoing effort to modernize how the City delivers services and communicates with the community. By expanding online access, streamlining processes, improving digital tools and finding new ways to use technology effectively, Hollywood is working to make interactions with City government faster, more convenient, efficient and responsive.
