Take Part In Art & POP 2000 Tour: Sunny Isles Beach 25th Anniversary Celebrations Continue

As part of the City Of Sunny Isles Beach's 25th Anniversary Celebration, they would like to shed light on talented local artists. The Sunny Spaces Art Contest gives local artists the opportunity to have a lasting impact on our community. Artists will either paint or hand draw an original 8” x 8” piece, incorporating the theme of 'A Sun In The Artwork.' If selected, the artwork will be recreated in various locations around Sunny Isles Beach.

The Sunny Spaces Art Contest is open to anyone residing in the United States, you do not have to be a resident of Sunny Isles Beach. Artwork must be either painted or hand drawn to cover an 8” x 8” surface encompassing the theme of the “Sun.” Create the artwork in color. You may not use any copyrighted character and the artwork must be original and created 100% by the artist. Entries that do not conform to the entry guidelines or fail to provide the requested completed waiver form may be removed from consideration. Minors must ask their parents or legal guardian for permission to participate in the contest. This would be a great summer project for your son, daughter or grandchild to take part in but only if his or her parent or legal guardian agrees to the official rules along with and on behalf of his or her minor child.

Up to 25 winners will be selected and chosen by the Sunny Isles Beach Media Team. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received but it's a great opportunity to flex your artistic muscles. Contest winners will be notified by mid-August 2022 via the contact information provided in the waiver. By participating in this contest, entrants consent to the use of the entrant’s name, photograph, likeness, voice and/or video for promotional purposes, including, but not limited to, On-Line and on-air announcements, signage, posters, television, magazine articles, Web-Sites, Social Media Sites (including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) and any other publication at the City’s discretion, without limitation and without additional compensation except where prohibited by law.

With all that being said, if you are selected as a winner, your artistic skills will be on display in many locations. City Staff are excited to see your submissions and to have local artists work showcased for all of Sunny Isles Beach to enjoy!

Celebration of the Isles POP 2000 TOUR
Live Music, Food Trucks, Fireworks

You won’t want to miss out on Celebration of the Isles. There will be special musical guest performances, delicious food trucks, a cake-cutting ceremony, giveaways and fun activities, the event will be a memorable experience for the whole family!

The POP 2000 TOUR will be hosted by Chris Kirkpatrick of the Music Group NSYNC, it will feature performances by Platinum-Selling POP2K Artists: O-Town, Ryan Cabrera and LFO. Plus there will be featured performances of the decade’s biggest songs “Bye Bye Bye,” “It’s Gonna Be Me,” “All or Nothing,” “On the Way Down,” “Summer Girls” and more, the Pop 2000 Tour reads like a who’s who of chart topping hit makers and provides the soundtrack for a Napster fueled trip down memory lane for audiences that came of age in the early aughts.

Tickets will be provided for guests to enjoy one meal from a food truck of their choice. A limited supply of Kosher Meals will also be available to reserve upon event registration. The deadline to request a Kosher Meal Option is on Monday, June 6th, 2022.

Following the concert, guests are invited to walk over to Pier Park for a spectacular Fireworks Display on the beach beginning at 9:30 p.m.

Cost is free with a valid City-Issued Sunny Isles Beach Resident ID Card and $15 without. Wristbands are available to purchase In-Person at The Pelican Community Park, The Sunny Isles Beach Government Center and Gateway Center, or On-Line. If purchasing your Ticket On-Line, you may redeem your Wristband at any of our City Facilities.
