Funny & Brilliant: Part of the Aventura Stand Up Comedy Series

Straight from Showtime and three blockbuster comedy specials, The City of Aventura presents Funny Women of a Certain Age in the Aventura Stand Up Comedy Series on Friday, March 22 at 8 p.m.

The hilarious line-up features Carole Montgomery, who created and stars in the Showtime specials. A stand-up comic described by The Last Vegas Sun as "one of Vegas’ premier comics,” Montgomery has had a long and varied career. With over two dozen television credits to her name, she is a respected veteran of the standup comedy scene nationwide. In her ten years as a Las Vegas star, she was seen by over five million audience members.

Montgomery is joined by Vanessa Hollingshead, a comic and natural storyteller with a unique repertoire of heartfelt, funny characterizations of all the people that cross her path. Jerry Seinfeld raves, "Vanessa is extremely funny, has a strong, great point of view and fresh material. She's really, really, good and I wish her much success. She's got what it takes."

Trish Keating completes the comedy trio with her comedy that is one-part social satire, two-parts personal pain, and most parts attitude. An alum of Chicago's Second City, she has been seen on NBC, FOX, HSN and CBS. Keating has appeared with such talents as Caroline Rhea, Wanda Sykes, Jay Mohr, Judy Tenuta, DL Hughley, Victoria Jackson, Jeff Dunham and George Wallace.
