Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. in Hollywood

January 13, 2022

Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the City of Hollywood this Saturday, January 15th with a free, family-friendly concert at the ArtsPark at Young Circle. ArtsPark Live proudly presents the Motowners, one of the premier Motown groups in the United States. Motown was the soundtrack to the 1960’s, the civil rights movement and many Motown artists were very close with Dr. King.

The Motowners will perform a very special concert featuring the music of Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke and others who championed civil rights. Featuring vibrant singers, dazzling costumes, and precision choreography accompanied by a full band, the Motowners will transport you back to a wonderful time of amazing hit songs and soulful classics when Motown records changed the music scene in America and around the world. Considered one of the premier Motown groups in the US, the Motowners have opened for the legendary Spinners, performed for First Lady Michelle Obama, and perform regularly at festivals and theaters across the country.

The free concert takes place this Saturday, January 15th from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the ArtsPark at Young Circle Amphitheater in Downtown Hollywood. Lawn seating is available. Single-use plastics and Styrofoam containers are prohibited at the Arts-Park, including plastic bottles and bags. For more information, call 954.921.3404.
