The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center Presents A Vibrant Lineup Of Performances Throughout March, Featuring Broadway Legends, Acclaimed Musicians, Beloved Comedians, Tribute Concerts And Family-Friendly Ballet. Presented By The City of Aventura And Leading Cultural Partners, The Month Showcases An Exciting Mix Of Theater, Music, Comedy And Dance For Audiences Of All Ages.
Audiences won’t want to miss The World-Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater on Sunday, March 1st, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. This incredible spectacle is a family-friendly blend of the unique comedy and juggling talents of Gregory Popovich and his furry co-stars. Featuring more than 25 pets, each one rescued from animal shelters and given a new leash on life, these animals love to showcase their skills and stunts live on stage. The international sensation Popovich Comedy Pet Theater celebrates 15 years of pet-loving performances. Since 2006, it has been a resident show at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino’s V Theater and remains one of the most beloved family shows in Las Vegas. With a charming troupe of four-legged stars, this heartwarming, fast-paced theatrical extravaganza features old-world style production and a delightful mix of acts including the Homeless Clown, the Dog Classroom, the Amazing House-Cats and the Animal Train Station. Human acrobats and Guinness World Record-holding jugglers also join the fun with jaw dropping feats.
As a special 15th Anniversary season event, the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center is thrilled to welcome back the first show to perform on stage in 2010. The City of Aventura and Yi Love Jewish present Avi Hoffman’s Too Jewish on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. In this award-winning solo musical performance, Hoffman explores his Jewish roots and has discovered that all audiences can identify with the humor and music of his upbringing. Jews and non-Jews alike join Hoffman on a journey through his history, relating stories of his family’s immigrant background and the culture within which he was raised. He has discovered the ‘lost treasures’ of Jewish comedy and music, the songs and comedy routines that entertained hundreds of thousands of people from the Catskills to Miami Beach, from Carnegie Hall to Yiddish Vaudeville. Hoffman serves as a bridge between the old world and the new as he recreates and rediscovers the wonderful music, comedy and pathos of the extraordinary period of creativity that began with the immigrants and continues till today.
The City of Aventura and Yi Love Jewish present Avi Hoffman’s brand-new production that will take audiences on a nostalgic, fun-filled journey through his extensive and entertaining life and works. It's another night of laughter and celebration during Avi Hoffman’s Still Jewish After All These Years on Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. His humorous and moving encounters with theater luminaries will have audiences laughing through their tears. Hoffman has entertained millions of people with his humor, his pathos and his passionate singing voice. According to the New York Times, "The precious truth about Avi Hoffman is that his shows rest on a solid foundation of scholarship. Mr. Hoffman is a teacher and a dedicated preservationist of culture. But like so many sages, he disguises his lessons as entertainment. He comes to the stage armed with books, songs, dances and jokes...” His extensive resume includes his groundbreaking productions of “Songs of Paradise” with the famous Broadway Impresario, Joe Papp and the New York productions of “The Golden Land” and “The Rise of David Levinsky.” From New York to Los Angeles, from the stage to the big screen, Hoffman has received numerous awards and great acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
In “Take Me To The World, The Songs of Stephen Sondheim,” Donna McKechnie celebrates one of Broadway's greatest composers by performing songs from many of his shows, including “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” “Company,” “Follies,” “A Little Night Music” and “Anyone Can Whistle,” as well as songs from some of his film scores. McKechnie performs at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center as part of the 2025/2026 Broadway Concert Series presented by the City of Aventura on Friday, March 6th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. She shares stories of her time working with Sondheim, revealing the great influence he had in her life professionally and personally. McKechnie received a Tony Award for her performance as Cassie in “A Chorus Line” and is regarded internationally as one of Broadway's leading ladies having starred in or choreographed productions in London's “West End” as well as major productions in Tokyo and Paris. She recently completed a year-long run as Madame Morrible in the Broadway production of “Wicked.” She received a MAC Award for her first one-woman cabaret show and since then has played all over the country. Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida presents Program III: Ballet “Dr. Ouch!,” a playful ballet in two acts choreographed by Vladimir Issaev. This exciting production graces the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center stage on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 8th, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Based on the children’s poems of Kornei Chukovsky, this whimsical story follows a kind doctor who journeys to Africa to help sick monkeys. Along the way, he and his friends are hilariously captured by a band of silly pirates led by the infamous Barmalei! With music by Morozov, Lecoque and Kabalevsky and vibrant costumes by Jorge Gallardo, this colorful production features professional dancers and young performers in a joyful ballet that’s perfect for the whole family. Arts Ballet Theatre maintains a very strict late seating policy; please arrive early as latecomers will not be admitted until intermission.
Join Frank Marino as he celebrates the 40th Anniversary as the longest running headliner in Las Vegas during his final Florida tour ever when the City of Aventura presents Frank Marino’s Divas on Friday, March 13th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. This energetic show stars Marino, with his award-winning impersonation as comic icon Joan Rivers and an all-star cast of superstar female impersonators who not only recreate but almost duplicate the uncanny likenesses of stars ranging from Celine Dion to Cher, Donna Summer to Beyonce, Liza to Lizzo and so many more. Meanwhile, Marino, as the show’s emcee and star, changes between every act, bringing an international whirlwind of couture to the stage with each spectacular entrance. Since its 2017 world premiere, Dance NOW! Miami's acclaimed Bridges NOT Walls has only grown more urgent. This powerful one-act work which calls for understanding, communication and compassion toward immigrants returns as part of Program II on Sunday, March 15th, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. The piece confronts political divisions in America and beyond, exploring difference, commonality, migration and silence through choreography by Artistic Directors Hannah Baumgarten and Diego Salterini, with video art by Francisco Javier Moraga Escalona and an evocative score. Premiered in Miami, it has since evolved through residencies and performances in Mexico and Italy. Program II also features the world premiere of Baumgarten's 1933, a cabaret-inspired reflection on the rise of Hitler, along with Salterini's duet Strings of Goodbye and Tandy Beal's Forest Dreams from DNM's Masterpiece in Motion series. As critic Diana Dunbar wrote, Bridges "yearns to be seen and heard."
Miami International Piano Festival presents pianist Bill Charlap and Brandon Goldberg for A Special Two Piano Jazz Encounter on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Charlap, known for his understated and elegant playing style, impeccable musicianship, and ability to create fresh and engaging interpretations of familiar standards and is one of the best soul-touching pianists in the world today, joins Goldberg for this special jazz concert. Goldberg is a rising star in the world of Jazz and may well be one of the greatest young musicians in the world, according to David Foster.
Described by the Miami New Times as "tremendous, zen-like, and enlightening," An Acoustic Evening with Matisyahu makes a stop at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 at 8 p.m. for an intimate evening of show-stopping beats. The show features long-time friend, collaborator and local guitarist Adam Weinberg. Presented in its most raw form, Matisyahu will highlight his repertoire allowing his voice and beat-boxing, paired with inventive guitar arrangements, to expand through lyrical intensity and musical improvisation. This format naturally digs deep into the meaning of the song itself, and lays Matisyahu’s spiritual journey bare, bringing a closeness to the artist-fan relationship. He won America’s heart and now brings his signature comedy back to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center to round up the 2025/2026 Aventura Comedy Series on Thursday, March 26th, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. presented by the City of Aventura. Yakov humbly began working as a bartender at the famous Grossinger’s Catskill Resort in New York, where he started telling jokes to customers each night before even learning the language. As his English improved, he quickly grew in popularity. Smirnoff then made a daring move to Hollywood, where he grew his passion for comedy. His lovable view of life through the eyes of a poor immigrant captured the hearts of America. The 2025/2026 Aventura Broadway Concert Series continues with two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz as he takes the stage for a One-Of-A-Kind evening of story and song. From his beginnings as the seventh of 11 children (yes, his first bed was a drawer) to his unforgettable performances in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” and “Catch Me If You Can,” Butz brings heart, humor and powerhouse vocals to this intimate concert experience. The show features highlights from “The Last Five Years,” “Wicked,” “Big Fish,” “Thou Shalt Not” and “My Fair Lady,” alongside personal stories and surprises. Expect the unexpected in this singular evening of musical entertainment by one of Broadway’s legendary leading men. Two of the greatest bands of all time face off in a high-energy, adrenaline-pumping musical showdown when Beatles vs Stones takes the stage at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center for two shows on Sunday, March 29th, 2026 at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. The Fab Four, represented by tribute band, Abbey Road, will engage in a barrage of hits against premier Rolling Stones tribute band Satisfaction. It's a face-off not to be missed.
