The City of Aventura Kicks Off its Movie Night Season

The City of Aventura kicks off the 2022-23 Movie Night Season on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 starting at 5:00 p.m. at Founders Park, 3105 Northeast 190th Street, featuring the highly acclaimed animated film “Minions: The Rise of Gru.” The park opens at 5:00 p.m. and the movie starts at 7:00 p.m.

Enjoy a beautiful South Florida evening outdoors and watch 12 year old Gru scheme and plot with the help of the Minions to become a member of the Vicious 6, an infamous group of supervillains. Chaos, adventure and hilarity ensue after he manages to steal a valuable object from their headquarters.

Guests are welcome to bring their own food and blankets and/or lawn chairs. The City of Aventura Police Department will be selling hot dogs, water, snow-cones and popcorn. Food trucks will also be on the premises for the duration of the event. Please note that food deliveries, alcoholic beverages and pets are not permitted in the park.

Please keep in mind, all other amenities to the park will be closed. Additionally, the City asks families to please be sure to keep their little ones close at all times.

Ticket reservations are required for every individual and can be completed online only with a valid and existing account at: www.cityofaventura.com/ors - the City’s Online Registration System (ORS). The cost is $5 per person. Everyone including young children and babies are required to purchase a ticket. The reservation includes a fun night of dancing with music provided by a disc jockey, Trunk or Treat hosted by the Aventura Police Department, arts and crafts stations, a costume parade, food trucks, inflatables/carnival attractions, goodie bags, photo opportunities and a movie. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Aventura Police Foundation.

Tickets will be attached to your receipt upon submission of payment. On the day of the event, each person must have their own ticket printed and be prepared to physically present it in order to enter the park. All tickets are non-transferable and cannot be duplicated. Each ticket can only be scanned once. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning on October 10th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.

Parking will be available at the City Of Aventura Government Center's Parking Garage located at 19200 West Country Club Drive, Aventura, Florida 33180. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to park and get settled in prior to the 7:00 p.m. show time.
