Special Interest Camps: It's Time For A Summer Adventure

The City of Aventura is excited to announce its 2023 Summer Camp programs, which includes a variety of special interest camps to be held at the Aventura Community Recreation Center and Tennis Camp at Founders Park. There’s a camp for everyone this summer! Campers will spend their summer break making new friends and enjoying plenty of activities in their camp of interest.

All camps (unless specified) will be held Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. starting Monday, June 12th, 2023 through Friday, August 11th, 2023. Two-week session rates are available and vary based on the camp selected. Campers will attend weekly field trips with the exception of Travel and Tennis Camp.

Participants must be registered prior to attending any program. Registration can be completed exclusively online. Please visit: www.cityofaventura.com/ors to complete the registration process with a valid account. There is a $20 Late Registration Fee applied to all registrations received on or after the Saturday prior to the selected program’s start date.

The following camps are available for registration:

Art Camp
Monday, June 12th, 2023 – Friday, August 4th, 2023 (Ages 5-12)
Introduces different artists, media and techniques through art history and multicultural appreciation.

Basketball Camp
Monday, June 12th, 2023 – Friday, August 4th, 2023 (Ages 5-15)
Introduces and emphasizes the fundamentals of basketball. From skills and drills to the importance of teamwork, this camp is for athletes of all skill levels. *Some groups may be held at the Don Soffer Aventura High School gymnasium pending enrollment.

Dance Camp
Monday, June 12th, 2023 – Friday, August 4th, 2023 (Ages 5-12)
Concentrates on teaching technique and choreography as well as preparation for performance at the Annual Summer Camp Talent Show.

General Camp
Monday, June 12th, 2023 – Friday, August 11th, 2023 (Ages 5-12)
Provides the enjoyment of arts & crafts, games, sports and special events.

Soccer Camp
Monday, June 12th, 2023 – Friday, August 4th, 2023 (Ages 5-12)
Introduces and emphasizes the fundamentals of soccer. From skills and drills to the importance of teamwork, this camp is for athletes of all skill levels.

STEM Camp
Monday, June 12th, 2023 – Friday, August 4th, 2023 (Ages 7-12)
Explores the interconnectedness between science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) while creativity and problem-solving skills get challenged.

Travel Camp
Monday, June 12th, 2023 – Friday, August 4th, 2023 (Ages 8-12)
Our Travel Care takes to the road with a combination of exciting field trips and activities in our camp facilities. Campers will enjoy new experiences by taking trips every day of the week!

Tennis Camp at Founders Park
Monday, June 12th, 2023 – Friday, August 11th, 2023 (Ages 6-17)
Provides a fun, high-quality level of instruction where players of all skill levels may improve their tennis skills, make new friends and challenge themselves. Campers are required to bring their own tennis racquet and refillable water bottle.
