South Florida Sun Times
Oct 29, 2026
What If Flowers Could Talk, Trees Could Tell Stories, And Plants Could Make Music? What If You Could Wander Through A Garden Where Blossoms Never Fade, Birds Never Fly Away, And Imagination Grows Wild?
Welcome to the Enchanted Garden, a captivating new exhibition at the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts (WMODA), where nature’s wonder meets the extraordinary creativity of artists from Florida and around the world. Inspired by the beauty of botanical gardens, the ancient symbolism of the Tree of Life, and the whimsical world of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, this immersive exhibition pulls visitors into a fantastical landscape where fancy takes root, and the impossible becomes real. Explore the Garden of Glass by Dale Chihuly, which captures nature’s exuberance, transforming molten glass into spectacular, organic forms. Wander Rob Stern’s enchanting forest of brilliantly colored Murano glass leaves, and admire the elegance of Grace Chepenik’s luminous, translucent orchids. Eli Cecil balances humanity and the environment through exquisite glass bonsai trees, while Juan Giraldo blurs the boundaries of art and architecture with his glowing sanctuary of illuminated terrariums and geometric lights.
From the romantic canals of Venice, Anna Paola Cibin unites sumptuous silk velvet paintings and shimmering Murano glass to create a magical aviary, where fanciful Funny Birds populate a dreamlike world of color and whimsy. Nature and myth meet at the Tree of Life, where Ardmore Studio’s exuberant ceramics capture the untamed beauty and vitality of the African savanna, alongside the new Baobab wallpaper collection by Cole & Son, celebrating nature’s interconnectedness.
Gnarled tree branches have been transformed into visionary works of art by French artist, Jerome Reine, who carves and polishes nature’s discarded treasure into elegant wooden purses and jewelry boxes. Follow the White Rabbit into Wonderland, where Florida artist Chelsea Rousso’s dazzling, kiln-formed wearable glass costumes transform familiar characters into whimsical, sculptural fantasies, creating a delightful sense of the impossible.
Listen to the secret music of plants through an interactive biosonification installation. Dave Rosenthal translates the hidden electrical rhythms of living plants into an ever-changing botanical soundscape, inviting visitors to experience an extraordinary musical dialogue between nature and technology.
Bringing together contemporary glass, ceramics, textiles, fashion, and experimental multimedia art, the exhibition shows how artists transform nature's familiar beauty into something astonishing, mysterious, and unforgettable.
Come and lose yourself in the Enchanted Garden, where flowers never fade, trees hold ancient secrets, and art makes the impossible possible.
After all, as Alice discovered in Wonderland, the most wonderful adventures begin when we dare to believe in the extraordinary.
Discover the magic. Explore the unexpected. Believe the impossible.
