According to Cherie Wachter, VP of Marketing, “for the holidays, select adult dogs, cats and rabbits will be available for holiday sleepovers for two weeks starting December 20th! This gives the pets a break from being in the shelter and lets them get spoiled. Of course, the ultimate goal is for the pet to spend not just this holiday season in their temporary home, but many more future holidays as well.”

Pets available for the extended sleepovers include several who have been passed by for no apparent reason. Once in a home environment they relax and just want to be part of the family. Seven-year-old Opec looks like a black, Yorkie Mix and his BFF Poppy is a nine-year-old, tan, and white Shih-Tzu Mix and this pair are looking for a home where they can stay together. After having a home their entire lives, the duo was given up because their owner no longer wanted the responsibility of taking care of them. The boys will sometimes play with toys, are crate-trained, and enjoy being with adults. (They are not fans of little kids).
