Hallandale Beach VPK - Give Your Child A Great Start For This Fall’s School Year

The City Of Hallandale Beach’s Hepburn Center is currently accepting enrollments for the Fall Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program (VPK) and is located at 1000 Northwest 8th Avenue, Hallandale Beach, Florida 33009. Every child who turns 4 by Wednesday, September 1st, 2021 may be eligible for the FREE VPK.

The daily, 4-hour program includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of an extended wrap care for a ONE TIME Annual Fee of $200 for Hallandale Residents and $400 for Non-Hallandale Residents.

The full-day learning experience enhances your child’s school readiness. VPK enrolled participants will discover:

• Safe, secure school environment
• Experienced, credentialed teachers
• Customized curriculum, lesson plans and learning experiences
• VPK Star Program, which enhances VPK’s students with technology
• Technology in the VPK classrooms help your child’s learning experience by featuring early math and literacy skills

This is a FREE Pre-Kindergarten for all 4-year-olds, regardless of family income. The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Program -- or VPK -- prepares early learners for success in Kindergarten and beyond. This program is funded by the State of Florida. VPK certificate must be obtained to apply.

To be eligible, children must live in Florida and must be 4 years old on or before, Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, of the current school year. Effective July 1st, 2016, a new law lets parents whose children are born between February 2nd and September 1st of the calendar year, postpone enrolling their 4-year-old, until the following year when their child is 5 years old.
