Fun For All Ages at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center

Start looking and booking for next year as February is family month at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. The month will start off with the February 3 performance of “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry and presented by The City of Aventura.

A Raisin in the Sun
Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.
Tickets are $10 with $3 lap seats for children 12 months and under.

The City of Aventura presents a Smart Stage Matinee performance of A Raisin in the Sun. This classic play revolves around the Younger family whose members have bigger dreams than the small house where they live on the south side of Chicago in the ‘50s. When their deceased father's insurance money comes through, those dreams might actually become reality. What will finally allow the Youngers to move up in the world, and who will have their dreams deferred? This performance is recommended for students in grades 9 -12.

The City of Aventura presents a Smart Stage Matinee performance of the National Players production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Fairies, thespians, and runaway lovers all wandering the forest at night. With the fairy king and queen scheming, the lovers escaping, and the ragtag troupe of actors hastily rehearsing a show for the duke's wedding tomorrow, what more could go wrong? When the fairy Puck accidentally misapplies a love potion and transforms an actor into a donkey, it will take more than magic to set things right. This performance is recommended for students in grades 4 -12.

Cirque Zuma Zuma
Saturday, February 5th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Tickets are $40-$45, $25 for students with $5 lap seats for children 12 months and under.
The City of Aventura presents Cirque Zuma Zuma, a finalist on America's Got Talent. This African-style cirque spectacular features awe-inspiring acrobats, circus and street performers that deliver amazing acts and breathtaking non-stop action.

Wild World of Animals Starring Grant Kemmerer And Friends
Saturday, February 12th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Tickets $35 with $60 ticket that includes a meet and greet with the artist and animals
The City of Aventura invites you to explore the fascinating world of wildlife featuring live animals with some of the most majestic, interesting, bizarre, and critically endangered species in the world. Stars include a leopard, monkey, wolf, badger, red ruffed lemur, eagle owl, marine toad, dictator scorpions, legless lizard, cobra, alligator and a 100-year-old alligator snapping turtle. Wild World of Animals is an entertaining and educational show presenting animals born in captivity displaying natural behaviors facilitated by an extremely knowledgeable moderator and guide.

Please note that not all shows scheduled for the 2021-22 season are currently on sale and additional performances will be added throughout the season.

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts manages the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, a 14,864-square-foot, 330-seat waterfront complex that hosts performing arts, cultural and educational programming for all ages.

Aventura Arts & Cultural Center has implemented a number of changes to ensure an enjoyable experience. Health & safety guidelines have been developed in conjunction with its management company, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic and have been informed by guidance of public health officials including the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). These guidelines will be continuing to evolve as the environment changes, and may be accessed on the venue’s website.
