Entertainment From A To Z: The Parker Has Everyone from Alan Cumming To Zombies In April

Kick off the spring season with outstanding entertainment with stars from music, comedy, theater and dance this April in the Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker.

Tony Award® Winner and Four-Time Emmy® Nominee Alan Cumming returns to The Parker on Friday, April 1st, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. with his new cabaret show “Alan Cumming Is Not Acting His Age.” In this intimate evening with a truly remarkable performer, he brings his puckish, eclectic spirit and joie de vivre to a mischievous exploration of that most communal of pastimes: aging. Cumming has performed in concert halls across the globe, including the Sydney Opera House, London Palladium, Hollywood Bowl and Carnegie Hall. A multi-talented star, Cumming has played God, the Devil, Hitler, the Pope, a teleporting superhero, Hamlet, all of the parts in Macbeth and the Emcee in Cabaret in the West End and on Broadway. Janis Ian with Tom Chapin and Livingston Taylor light up the Lillian S. Wells Stage in “Celebrating Our Years Together,” billed as Ian’s last North American Tour, on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. Ian is the Grammy®-Winning Folk Icon who appeared on the Jazz/Blues Scene with the release of the album Janis Ian in 1996 with the song “That Grand Illusion,” which immediately became a success. Her most beloved album, Between The Lines, features some of the most famous music from her catalog including “At Seventeen” and “When The Party's Over.” Tickets are $35-$60.

Presented by the Broward Center and AEG Presents, The Zombies: “Life is a Merry-Go-Round Tour.” The 60's Pop Masters English Rock Band, featuring Vocalist Colin Blunstone as well as Keyboardist and Vocalist Rod Argent, who will entertain the audiences at The Parker on Sunday, April 3rd, 2022 at 8 p.m. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, The Zombies scored a British and American hit in 1964 with "She's Not There," and in the U.S. with "Tell Her No" in 1965 and "Time of the Season" in 1968. Their 1968 Album Odessey and Oracle is ranked number 100 on Rolling Stone's List Of The 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time. Tickets are $42.50-$72.50 with a VIP tour package available.

American Singer, Actor, Presenter, Comedian and Activist Henry Rollins comes to The Parker on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. in “Good to See You in 2022” presented by the Broward Center and AEG Presents. "Rollins is many things," says The Washington Post, "Diatribist, Confessor, Provocateur, Humorist, even Motivational Speaker…he is an enthusiastic and engaging chatter." Entertainment Weekly's list includes: "Punk Rock Icon, Spoken Word Poet, Actor, Author and DJ, so the question is, “Is there anything this guy can't do?" TV Guide has more concisely called him a "Renaissance Man" but if Rollins could be reduced to a single word, that word would undoubtedly be a "workaholic." He has toured the World as a Spoken Word Artist, as a Frontman for both Rollins Band and Black Flag and as a traveler, favoring road-less-traveled locales such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Siberia and North Korea. Jimmie Vaughan and Samantha Fish team up on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. for an evening filled with electric soul-shaking, spiritually moving music. Vaughan is a Legendary Powerhouse Blues Guitarist and one of the most respected guitarists in popular music. He Co-Founded the Blues Rock Band Fabulous Thunderbirds before going solo. His inimitable sound helped ignite a Blues Revival and established a tone and style that extends beyond music. A longtime avatar of retro cool, Vaughan and his horn-heavy Tilt-A-Whirl Band provide a distinctive link between Contemporary Music and its proud Blues and Soul Heritage. Over the course of her career as an Award-Winning Artist, Singer, Songwriter and Guitarist, Fish has brought extraordinary power to her self-expression, capturing her inner world in a combustible riff, visceral rhythms and spine-tingling vocal work. On her new Album, Faster, she joins forces with Super Producer Martin Kierszenbaum, creating even more intensity into her electrifying brand of Blues/Rock. Tickets are $40-$70.

The Music of Cream brings its immersive “The Disraeli Gears Tour” featuring personal stories and rare footage to The Parker on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. More than 50 years since their earth-shattering arrival onto the British Music Scene, the pedigree of hallowed 60's Supergroup Cream comes together to honor the legendary band's landmark Album, performed in its entirety. The first set will be followed by hits and rarities from Cream, Clapton and Blind Faith. Kofi Baker (Son of Ginger) and Will Johns (Nephew of Eric and Son of Zeppelin/ Stones/Hendrix Engineer Andy) unite with Master Musicians Sean McNabb and Chris Shutters to unleash the lightning that electrified a generation. Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox New “The Grand Reopening Tour” features some of modern music's biggest hits in the classic styles of the Roaring ‘20’s and Bygone Eras on Friday, April 8th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. The group features an ensemble of multi-talented singers and musicians bringing Bradlee's generation-spanning arrangements alive night after night. The core ensemble is often joined by surprise guests to make each concert unique and unpredictable, making for one of the most thrilling live music experiences of this and any other time period. This concert is presented by the Broward Center and AEG Presents, Tickets are $27.50-$67.50 with a VIP Package also available for $128.50.

India's biggest Stand-Up Comedian and a Bollywood Star, Vir Das has now crossed over to become a Global Comedy Sensation and he brings his authentic Indian perspective to The Parker on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in an event presented by The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and AEG Presents. Hailed by Variety Magazine as a "Top 10 Comic To Watch," his latest endeavor is Vir Das: Outside In on Netflix. After beginning a career in Stand-Up Comedy, Das moved to Hindi Cinema and has performed in 18 Films, approximately 35 Plays, over 100 Stand-Up Comedy Shows, eight TV Shows and six Comedy Specials. He has written comedic columns for Femina, Maxim, Exotica, DNA and

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and AEG Presents brings Grammy Award-Winning Saxophonist Kenny G. to The Parker on Sunday, April 10th, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. He has solidified his reputation as the Premier Artist in Contemporary Jazz in a recording career that spans almost three decades and 23 Albums. Since the early '80s, his combination of unparalleled Instrumental Chops and Indelible Melodies has resulted in sales of more than 75 Million Records Worldwide (45 Million in the U.S. alone) and more than a dozen climbed to the top of Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Chart. Experience the Ultimate Bachelor Nation Fan Party in the form of a wildly flirtatious and interactive game show with The Bachelor Live on Stage Tuesday, April 12th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. Featuring recent cast members and hosted by Bachelor Nation favorites, The Bachelor Live will make the audience and on-stage participants feel like they just spent an evening at the mansion. Multi-Talented Singer, Rapper, Actor, Director, Choreographer and Social Media Personality Todrick Hall delivers his “The Femuline Tour,” Wednesday, April 13th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. After rising to prominence on and after his appearance on American Idol, his popular YouTube Channel has over 3.5 Million Subscribers and 740 Million Channel views, consisting notably of original songs, musical collaborations, and choreographed flash mobs for Beyoncé. Todrick also appears regularly on RuPaul’s Drag Race and from Season 2 of The Greatest Dancer on BBC. Most recently, Todrick was runner up on both Celebrity Big Brother and Season 6 of The Masked Singer, where he appeared as The Bull. This event contains adult language and content. Stand-Up Comedian, Artist, Writer and Director Demetri Martin returns by popular demand with another irreverent night of comedy in the “I Fell Funny Tour” on Friday, April 15th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. In addition to creating and starring in his own Television Series for Comedy Central, he has released three Stand-Up Comedy Albums and four hour-long Stand-Up Comedy Specials, including his latest for Netflix, The Overthinker. A former staff writer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien and regular on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Martin won the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival for his one-man show and received Australia's Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. One of the funniest female voices in comedy today Nikki Glaser comes to The Parker Friday, April 22nd, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. After a decade of appearing in comedy clubs, she has continued honing her shockingly-honest, no-holds barred style of comedy as the Host of three hit Podcasts. Her brand new daily show The Nikki Glaser Podcast launched in March 2021 through iHeartMedia. It is a Daily Companion Podcast that is peppered with Glaser's sense of humor and honesty to help keep listeners sane, well-informed and laughing through life. Previously, she was flexing her over-sharing muscle as the host of Comedy Central's First Live Daily Morning Show, “You Up With Nikki Glaser” for SiriusXM, which ran from February 2018 to October 2020. Steve Hackett The Genesis Revisited Tour rolls in to rock The Parker on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Renowned as an immensely talented and innovative rock musician, Hackett is best known as the Lead Guitarist with Genesis, having performed alongside their classic line up including Gabriel, Collins, Banks and Rutherford. With his extraordinary versatility in both his electric guitar playing and composing, his influences cross multiple genres including: Jazz, World Music and The Blues. As he embarked on his solo career, he developed his exceptional range, pushing musical boundaries into exciting areas, inventing new sounds and techniques. This concert presented by The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and AEG Presents features a performance of material from both Selling England By the Pound and Seconds Out. The Broward Center for the Performing Arts and AEG Presents bring the Perennial Classic-Rock Favorite America to The Parker on Saturday, April 30th, 2022 at 8:30 p.m. Founding members, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell (along with Former Bandmate Dan Peek) met in high school in London in the late 1960’s and quickly harmonized their way to the top of the charts on the strength of their signature Song “A Horse With No Name." America became a global household name and paved the way with an impressive string of hits following the success of their first No.1 Single.
