It’s not only the name of the month but a direction for how fast fans should move to get tickets this March as the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Presents Broadway musical blockbusters, theatrical dramas and Comedies, legendary musicians, hilarious comics, a beloved childhood friend and events for the neuro-diverse community.
No experience is necessary to enjoy this interactive and engaging All Abilities event on Sunday, March 3rd at 11:00 a.m. in the JM Family Studio and the David & I. Lorraine Thomas Creative Learning Suites. The class, designed for those on the Autism Spectrum as well as individuals with other Developmental Disabilities and their families, will be divided into one for ages 5-14 and another for those 15 and older. The event is followed by refreshments. All Abilities classes are made possible with support from the Taft Foundation.
The legendary Bob Dylan returns to the Au-Rene Theater for two nights in concerts presented by the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and AEG Presents on Friday, March 1st at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 2nd at 8:00 p.m. From New York City’s Greenwich Village Folk music scene in the early 1960’s to receiving the Nobel Prize in literature, Dylan is one of our culture’s most influential and groundbreaking artists. Use of phones, smart watches and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smart watches, and accessories will be secured in individual Yondr pouches that will be opened at the end of the event. Anyone seen using a device during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security.

A night of Stand-Up Comedy featuring comedians from the Letterkenny Family comes to the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center with Letterkenny Presents: A Night of Stand Up presented by the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and AEG Presents on Wednesday, March 6th at 7:30 p.m. Headlined by the always hilarious Mark Forward (Coach), the show also features Jeff McEnery (Alexander). All ticket orders will be limited to four tickets. Any orders exceeding the 4-ticket limit are subject to cancellation without notice.
The dynamic and passionate Soul Train Award-Winning Vocalist and Actress Nicole Henry delivers Wanna Dance With Somebody: Songs of Whitney Houston to remind audiences of “The Greatest Love of All” in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center on Thursday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m. As part of the TD Jazz Series, Henry shares her personal journeys through Whitney Houston's most beloved hits as she celebrates Houston's messages of courage, truth and love, which are also themes Henry clings to in her life's quest. Houston was one of the greatest and most beloved singers of our time whose musical contributions will remain in the American music lexicon for generations through her timeless classics "I Have Nothing," "Didn't We Almost Have It All," "I'm Your Baby Tonight" and "I Will Always Love You," among others.
The Truist Comedy Series presents Jimmy Failla: Everybody Calm Down Tour bringing the Stand-Up Comedian, TV Pundit and Author to the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center on Friday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. Named Outstanding Male Comedian of the Year at the 2014 New York City Nightlife Awards, the former New York City cab driver is host of the syndicated FOX Across America with Jimmy Failla, which is also available as a podcast. His one-hour standup special State Of The Union is currently streaming on Amazon Prime, and he has also made multiple standup appearances on AXS TV's Gotham Comedy Live in addition to playing himself on The Jim Gaffigan Show on TV LAND. He appears regularly on Kennedy on the Fox Business Channel as well as America's Newsroom. He has also been seen on The Greg Gutfeld Show, The Ingraham Angle, Watters World and The Story with Marth MacCallum. Failla is the head writer for A-List Comedy, a national comedy service that supplies topical humor and audio sketches to more than 200 radio stations.
Award-Winning and Internationally Acclaimed performers Debra Ehrhardt and Christopher Grossett bring Look What Fell Out De Mango Tree, Ehrhardt's new play, to the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center on Saturday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. Based on her life story, Ehrhardt's play explores the importance of forgiveness and the power of vulnerability as she uncovers a big secret that unlocks her ability to forgive and transforms her relationship with men. The production is directed by Director-Songwriter-Composer Paul Williams. This event is part of the Broward Center’s Arts for Action: Black Voices Initiative presented by Baptist Health and JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and includes a moderated post-show talkback with the artists immediately following the performance. This special event is presented under the distinguished patronage of R. Oliver Mair, Jamaica’s Consul General, Southern USA.
Brazilian Voices “Quiet Bossa,” delivers a sensory-inclusive performance in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center on Saturday, March 17th at 11:00 a.m. creates a welcoming and supportive environment for children and adults on the Autism Spectrum as well as individuals with other Sensitivity Issues or Developmental Disabilities. With familiar songs intended to soothe and inspire, this one-hour musical experience features the voices of the group’s Award-Winning Female Singers, light percussion and guitar. The program includes Bossa Nova favorites like “The Girl from Ipanema,” “Summer Samba” (“Samba de verão”) and “Mas que Nada” as well as American standards “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Isn’t She Lovely” and “Happy.” To encourage participation, Brazilian Voices will share egg-shaped musical shakers that the audience may keep to carry the music home. Audiences enjoy a post-show meet and greet with cast members. An area adjacent to the theater has been designated as the ABA Centers of Florida Sensory Quiet Room with a specially trained therapist to provide audience support. Paul Anka performs his greatest hits in the Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center on Monday, March 18th at 8:00 p.m. This Songwriting Master and incomparable performer penned “She's a Lady” for Tom Jones, “This Is It” for Michael Jackson and “My Way” for Frank Sinatra. One of the most prolific and versatile Singer-Songwriters of any generation, Anka has had a record on Billboard's Top 50 chart for seven consecutive decades and is famous for such massive hits like "Diana," "Lonely Boy" and "Put Your Head on My Shoulder.”
