A Busy Saturday In Hollywood: TEDx Young Circle Park is Back with a Live Event & Christmas Near the Beach

TEDx Young Circle Park is back with a live event this Saturday at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center at 1770 Monroe Street in Hollywood. The event begins at 10 a.m. and doors open at 9:30 a.m.

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxYoungCirclePark, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxYoungCirclePark event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

In the spirit of the TED mission of promoting “ideas worth spreading,” TEDx is a program of local, independently organized events that bring people together to share in a TED-experience.  At TEDx events, live speakers are combined with TEDTalk videos to spark discussion and connection at a local level.

TEDx Young Circle Park was formed to curate an event that features speakers from local academia, government, business and community and nonprofit organizations to take a “deeper dive” into issues that impact the South Florida community and resonate nationally and globally.

TEDx Young Circle Park will feature speakers and TEDTalks that examine:

• Environmental and sustainability issues with a specific focus on innovative ideas for mitigation of sea level rise, coastal sustainability and water management.

• Technology development issues with a specific focus on technology development in South Florida, as well as the development and application of NFT, Blockchain and virtual reality technology.

TEDx Young Circle Park will act as a platform for speakers to voice their ideas and formulate discussion around these ideas. It will also enable recognized speakers to share their ideas and experiences in a public forum in the heart of South Florida.

Christmas Near the Beach
