As Students Across Florida Prepare To Head Back To School, The Florida Lottery Is Reminding Eligible Students To Submit Their Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) By Monday, August 31st, 2026 To Be Considered For A Bright Futures Scholarship.

“Back to school season marks the beginning of new opportunities for students across our state,” said Florida Lottery Secretary Reginald D. Dixon. “The Bright Futures Scholarship Program has helped generations of Florida students turn their dreams into reality by providing critical support throughout their educational journeys. We advise every student to learn more about the program and understand the requirements they must meet to receive a Bright Futures Scholarship.”


“Education has the power to change lives and build a stronger future for Florida and the nation. It gives students the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to achieve their goals and become engaged, productive citizens,” said Florida Commissioner of Education Henry Mack. “I encourage every eligible student to complete their Florida Financial Aid Application by Monday, August 31st, 2026 and take this important step toward turning their educational dreams into reality.”


For more than three decades, the Bright Futures Scholarship Program has helped make educational opportunities more accessible for Florida students. Funded by the Florida Lottery, the program has provided more than $51 Billion in educational funding, helping more than one million students pursue higher education and career training at Florida colleges, universities, career and technical education programs.


The Bright Futures Scholarship Program rewards Florida students for academic achievement and community involvement while helping make higher education and career education more affordable. To help students and families navigate the application process, the Florida Lottery has released a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) highlighting key eligibility requirements and emphasizing the Monday, August 31st, 2026 FFAA deadline.
