
Symphony Of The Americas Presents “Just Like The Ones We Used To Know,” A Holiday Concert

Symphony Of The Americas Is Set To Kick Off The Holiday Season With A Spectacular Concert, “Just Like The Ones We Used To Know, On Saturday, December 1, And Sunday, December 2, At 7:45 p.m. This Festive Performance Will Take Place At The Amaturo Theater At The Broward Center For The Performing Arts.
SOTA is thrilled to welcome South Florida’s own Laurie Jennings to the stage. A 6-time Emmy-award winning TV news reporter and former evening anchor at South Florida’s number one station WPLG-TV, Jennings will be a featured guest for this special holiday event.
Also joining the orchestra are guest vocalists Nova Payton, Eric Ulloa, and Amanda McGovern. Nova Payton is an award-winning vocal sensation who has been featured on PBS and has shared the stage with music legends such as Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, Bobby McFerrin, and Michelle Williams. Eric Ulloa is a South Florida native and Broadway performer who made his debut starring in the hit Gloria Estefan musical, “On Your Feet.” Amanda McGovern was the celebrated winner of the American Pops Orchestra’s 9th Annual NextGen Vocal Competition and is returning to the stage with Symphony of the Americas after her acclaimed debut with MORGXN during the reimagined version of Carole King’s Tapestry.
“Just Like the Ones We Used to Know” promises to get audiences of all ages in the holiday spirit with a program of cherished classics and festive favorites. Get ready to kick off the holidays with a night of incredible music, nostalgia, and unforgettable performances.

Luke Frazier is the Artistic and Music Director of the Symphony of the Americas and the founder of the acclaimed American Pops Orchestra (APO). His work with APO has been featured in thirty national PBS specials, and the orchestra serves as an official Arts Envoy for the U.S. State Department. A passionate mentor, Frazier founded the NextGen National Vocal Competition and the NATO Symphony Orchestra to support emerging musicians.
