Hallandale Beach Event Series Will Create an Amazing Food & Art Weekend for Foodies of all Ages!

The Hallandale Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (HBCRA), in partnership with the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented Capital One (SOBEWFF®), will host their second annual event series Friday, May 21st, 2021 - Sunday, May 23rd, 2021. The weekend will consist of three signature events showcasing local eateries, wine and spirit samples, music, art, fun for kids, healthy living, fitness, celebrity guests & more!

The SOBEWFF® Hallandale Beach Event Series is a part of the HBCRA`s strategic plan to promote economic development by branding the City of Hallandale Beach as a destination for food, arts and entertainment, while also attracting international exposure to our local participating restaurants. The HBCRA is excited to provide this weekend series as the “Grand Re-Opening” of the City by welcoming the community to experience fun, food and music in a safe, outdoor environment.

The weekend kicks off with an exclusive dinner hosted by Asian-Fusion King and Food Network Star, Jet Tila alongside Etaru Head Chef, Davide D'Agostino. The event will take place Friday, May 21st, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at Etaru Hallandale. Tila will sizzle, slice and sear Asian-inspired ingredients to create renditions of fan-favorite Thai dishes. He brings innovation and artistry into the traditional Thai food fold to create a signature style that is at heart, his own. The event will take place outdoors and will follow the Festival’s COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols.

The fun will continue with Goya Foods' Fun and Fit as a Family featuring Kidz Kitchen. This event, will give children the opportunity to interact with chefs and culinary personalities for two exciting days of food, fitness and learning! This family-friendly event allows parents and kids to learn the basics of a healthy lifestyle directly from their favorite Food Network and Cooking Channel personalities and beloved South Florida chefs.

Goya Foods’ Fun and Fit as a Family, is the first event to take place at Peter Bluesten Park, since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The event will be held outdoors on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 and Sunday, May 23rd, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and will follow the Festival’s COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols.

The cost to attend Goya Foods' Fun and Fit as a Family is, $15 per person (excluding taxes and fees), the ticket price also includes all food and drinks. All ages are welcome to attend. To purchase tickets, visit: www.sobewff.org/fff.

The weekend will also feature Hallandale Beach Food & Groove: A Wine, Food and Art Experience taking place at Pegasus Park, located at the Village at Gulfstream Park, Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 from 5:00 p.m.– 9:00 p.m. This must-attend event is for all foodies, ages 21 and older, it is set out to be South Florida’s event of the year! Grab a pal and watch the sunset while enjoying refreshing libations from the Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits portfolio, sumptuous bites, live music and entertainment. The HBCRA invites you to visit an enchanting evening of culinary magic hosted by 101.5 Lite FM's Those 2 Girls in the Morning, Julie Guy & Tamara G., at Pegasus Park at the Village at Gulfstream Park, during this celebration of artistic creativity! The event will be held outdoors and follow the Festival’s COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols.

All net proceeds from the Festival benefit the students at the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. These students assist SOBEWFF® organizers in all aspects of the event, including planning, logistics and overall execution.

*SOBEWFF® has consulted with the FIU Healthcare Committee on COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols that follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), State of Florida Department of Health, Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami Beach. According to the SOBEWFF® COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols, all attendees must comply with designated protocols before and during the event, including but not limited to face mask requirements. In addition, all attendees must complete the required SymCheck™ Screening & Health questionnaire, no more than 24 hours prior to arriving at a SOBEWFF® event. All attendees will be required to attest to either a negative COVID test no more than 72 hours prior to the event(s) they are attending or have a completed vaccination series. SOBEWFF® reserves the right to refuse entry or remove an individual from an event, if any of these protocols as such, are breached.
