Hollywood Celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Tribute Concert at the ArtsPark - Friday, January 12th, 2024
The celebration kicks off on Friday, January 13th, 2024 with performances by local artists at 6:00 p.m. followed by a concert featuring the Valerie Tyson Band at 8:00 p.m. The event takes place at the ArtsPark Amphitheater at Young Circle in Downtown Hollywood. This FREE Event is presented by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts in partnership with the African American Advisory Council.

MLK Day FUN DAY - Saturday, January 13th, 2024
The Annual MLK Fun Day takes place on Saturday, January 13th, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 2400 Charleston Street, Hollywood, Florida 33020. There will be FREE games and activities, bounce houses, refreshments and more.

Please remember, these venues are Plastic and Foam-FREE. Single-Use Plastics are prohibited, including Plastic Water Bottles. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hollywood Beach Sweep
Join volunteers Saturday January 13th, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. to gather to collect Litter and Cigarette Butts from the sandy beach. This event happens every second Saturday of the month.

Volunteers meet at Charnow Park at Garfield Street and the Broadwalk, at 7:00 a.m. Please complete the Registration Form available on the City’s website at: www.hollywoodfl.org - Children ages 8 and older are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult. Gloves and Garbage Bags will be provided to all Volunteers along with Safety Instructions. Please dress appropriately, wear Sunscreen and bring a Completed Registration Form. Don't forget, Plastic Water Bottles are prohibited on Hollywood Beach, so bring a Reusable Water Bottle instead.

Catch The Sun Shuttle
Over the past several years, the City has been focused on providing additional public transportation choices for residents and visitors alike. The City, in partnership with the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency, and Circuit Transit, Inc., is offering "on-demand" shuttle service from select areas west of I-95. Riders are able to request a ride from designated locations in the western portion of the City to popular spots like local grocery stores and community centers, our historic downtown and the world-famous Hollywood Beach.

• Weekend Shuttle Service Now Includes the Yellow Green Farmers Market

Riders can download the "Ride Circuit" application from Google Play or the App Store to request a ride. The app allows for pick-up and drop-off location requests, as well as connections from one zone to another. Fares will be $2 per person each way on all shuttle rides within each zone.
