Aventura Arts & Cultural Center Presents: An Entertaining Lineup Of Music, Melodies & More This Month

The City of Aventura has an entertaining Lineup in store for you featuring Yiddish and Jewish melodies, the 2025 Broadway Concert Series, a Piano Festival and more. This celebration of talent and artistry promises unforgettable experiences for every audience.

Gleb Productions presents An Acoustic Evening with Matisyahu on Sunday, March 16th at 8:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Described by Miami New Times as "tremendous, zen-like, and enlightening," Matisyahu brings his stripped back acoustic show to Aventura. The show features long-time friend, collaborator and local guitarist Adam Weinberg. Presented in its most raw form, Matisyahu highlights his repertoire allowing his voice and beat-boxing, paired with inventive guitar arrangements, to expand through lyrical intensity and musical improvisation. This format naturally digs deep into the meaning of the song itself, and lays Matisyahu’s spiritual journey bare, bringing a closeness to the artist-fan relationship. VIP tickets include premium seating in the first two rows, meet-and-greet and a signed poster.

The City of Aventura proudly presents comedian, actor and writer Elon Gold on Wednesday, March 19th at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. The triple-threat’s one hour Netflix stand-up special, "Elon Gold: Chosen & Taken,” received wide acclaim from audiences and peers alike and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. He has made 10 appearances on the “Tonight Show” and recently performed on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” His routines have gone viral and are shared by millions around the globe. He has starred in FOX's “Stacked” and developed and starred in the NBC series, “In-Laws.” Prior guest star credits include “Crashing,” “Frasier,” “Chappelle's Show,” and “Chelsea Lately” among others. He was also a writer/performer on ABC's “The Dana Carvey Show.” Most recently, Elon can be seen in a recurring role on Season 11 of HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm" and will be in the upcoming Kal Penn feature, “Trust Me, I’m A Doctor.” Elon has a new 30-minute stand-up special, “Sets in the City; Elon Gold’s Favorite People” available on Youtube and is on a theater tour readying his next comedy special. Timeless, dazzling, and distinctive, The Shvesters, transform classic Yiddish and Jewish melodies into sophisticated, contemporary harmonic arrangements on Thursday, March 20th at 8:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Recognized for their tight harmonies, soulful grooves and rich improvisation, The Shvesters (Chava Levi and Polina Fradkin) have gained a reputation for their unique, refreshing interpretations of Yiddish standards and traditional Jewish songs. The duo has garnered widespread attention, with media coverage from The Jewish Journal, Voice of America, and The Grammys and sold-out concert halls in New York, Paris, Tel Avivnand beyond. The Shvesters are finally bringing their music to the stage in Aventura, supported by pianist Moshe Elmakias, with a performance that is sure to transport the audience to another world.

Miami International Piano Festival presents Ilya Itin, known for his extraordinary range, power, quality of sound and command of the piano, on Sunday, March 23rd at 5:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Since capturing the Gold Medal, BBC Audience Award and Contemporary Music Prize at the 1996 Leeds International Piano Competition, Itin has performed throughout the world bringing his powerful musical imagination and mastery to wide ranging repertoire. Itin’s “Russian Marathon” concerts at the Miami International Piano Festival captured his historic recording of all 24 Preludes of Rachmaninov, and Prokofiev’s 7th and 8th Sonatas performed in one day. He released his newest recording of the complete Debussy Preludes on vinyl and high-definition audio in 2016 and his Princeton recital in July 2015 that featured beloved works by Rachmaninov and Scriabin will also be released as a state-of-the-art high-definition recording of the live performance. London's Daily Telegraph reported, "Itin’s is a rare and exciting artistry indeed … Poised, pure, and ravishing in its range of colour, Itin’s playing is a prime example of a superb technique put at the service of an inquiring and imaginative mind.”

The 2025 Broadway Concert Series presented by the City of Aventura culminates with John Lloyd Young on Friday, March 28th at 8:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Young received both a Tony® and Grammy Award for starring as Frankie Vallie in Jersey Boys on Broadway and film. Acclaimed for his immense talent and legendary charisma, Young delivers a celebration of classic hits from the '50s and '60s presented in the authentic acoustic style of original Rock 'N' Roll, Doo-Wop and R&B standards. Along with tracks from Young's critically acclaimed debut album My Turn, the show features "Sherry," "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You," "Hold Me," "Thrill Me, Kiss Me" and "In the Still of the Night." He will also treat the audience to treasures from, among others, Roy Orbison, The Platters, the Righteous Brothers, Paul McCartney, Adele, Luther Vandross, Little Anthony, Elvis and Tom Jones. A post-show meet and greet experience may be added to any ticket.

South Florida Legends presents two rocking performances of Absolute Queen, the Tribute on Saturday, March 29th at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Featuring all of the songs from the Oscar winning movie Bohemian Rhapsody plus additional hits, the band has spent hundreds of hours in the studio studying Queen's many layered harmony vocals and instrumentation to deliver an authentic sounding Queen experience that includes projections of Queen, a 20 K lighting show, eight wide beam laser lights and more.
