All Hands On Deck Welcome Party: Fleet Week Port Everglades Kicks Off Its Festivities

Presented by the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Beach Business Improvement District, Friday Night Sound Waves welcomes locals and visitors, the young and the young at heart, to enjoy some of South Florida’s best musical talents, performing an eclectic range of genres ranging from Classic Rock to Latin Jazz and Top 40 to Tribute Bands. Attendees are invited to come early to enjoy various pre-concert games on the main lawn starting at 5:00 p.m., along with local artisan vendors and a rotation of food and drink vendors to sip, sup and shop before, during and after the show.

The LOOP will also host special performances throughout the month of April on select Saturday and Sunday afternoons in recognition of Jazz Appreciation Month in coordination with the weekend Markets. It will also host two concerts by The U.S. Navy Rock Band on Sunday, April 23rd, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 29th, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. during Fleet Week Fort Lauderdale.

Sunday, April 8th, 2023, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. – Pamir Guanchez
In recognition of Jazz Appreciation Month, Internationally recognized Master Sax Player and Flute Virtuoso Pamir Guanchez and his Latin Flow Band will provide an afternoon of Mambo Rhythms and Lyrical Latin Flavors as a backdrop to shop and stroll by the shore.

Friday, April 21st, 2023, 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. – The Goodnicks
Get ready to have a great time with The Goodnicks, a guitar-driven Pop/Rock/Country Band who will get everyone’s feet moving and hearts pumping with their infectious tunes from the 80’s to today.

Sunday, April 23rd, 2023, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. – The U.S. Navy Band Southeast
Preceding the All Hands on Deck Welcome Ceremony, The U.S. Navy Band Southeast Rock Band will welcome the visiting Sailors, Coasties and Community to the FREE Concert to kick off Broward Navy Days/Fleet Week Fort Lauderdale.

Friday, April 28th, 2023 - 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. – Higher Ground
Higher Ground (Fort Lauderdale Air Show Kickoff Concert) is the talk of the town in South Florida’s live music scene. This young, energetic group has been rocking parties from Miami to Palm Beach with the best hit songs from every genre. Everywhere this band appears, people are immediately affected by their ‘infectious’ groove. Higher Ground has one of any cover band’s most diverse song lists. From Elton John to Elvis, Jay-Z to Ariana Grande, there is virtually nothing they can’t deliver.

Broward Navy Days/Fleet Week Fort Lauderdale comes to a close with a FREE Concert for the community to wish the visiting Sailors and Coasties fair winds and following seas.

Friday, May 5th, 2023 – Extasy – Cinco De Mayo
Miami’s culture and nightlife have given birth to this new kid on the block. Energy with just the right chemistry, these young artists give new life to the classics, while playing all the hits from today’s biggest stars. Extasy is truly Miami, a synergistic blend of Latin and American cultures with music from both worlds. They are one of the most versatile live bands and can do 100% American-Top 40 hits, 100% Latin sets, or any mix of the two.

Friday, May 12th, 2023 – Pure Heart & Mr. Nice Guy Band
This is a Mother’s Day Weekend Concert Double Header. The Pure Heart Band hails from South Florida and features six seasoned professionals performing the timeless classics of the Band Heart, led by Hall of Fame Artists and sisters Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson. The band tributes its success to the music and powerful hits of Heart that spans generations. The music is played and sung authentically, in true homage to Heart. Songs include: “Barracuda,” “Dreamboat Annie,” “Alone,” “These Dreams,” “Magic Man,” “Love Alive,” “Crazy On You” and more. Additionally, Pure Hearts adds some of the favorites Heart chose to remake, including “Stairway To Heaven” by Led Zeppelin and “Love, Reign O’er Me” by The Who. Formed in 2002, Mr. Nice Guy Band (MNG) is one of the area's most popular Classic Rock Groups, delivering high-energy performances of some of the best music from the 60's, 70's and 80's. In addition to a monster set list of Classic Rock cover songs, Mr. Nice Guy Band has original music and has recently been on tour, backing major acts such as ZZ Top. The special Mother’s Day Weekend Concert will feature Guest Lead Singer Maria De Cresano.

Friday, May 19th, 2023 – Hot Brass
Hot Brass featuring Debbie Pierce is a high-energy eight-to-ten-piece band featuring the music from the supergroup Earth, Wind And Fire. This hot group also adds more flavor to the show with songs from the 2004 Chicago Earth, Wind And Fire World Tour. Leader Debbie Pierce is a Multi-Instrumentalist (Sax/Vocal/Flute) who has been performing in South Florida for over 20 years. The band is composed of some of the best musicians in South Florida and consistently delivers not just great music but great entertainment too. Members have performed with Artists such as: JLo, Gloria Estefan, Jon Secada and George Benson.

Friday, May 26th, 2023 – Private Stock
Memorial Day Weekend Kick-Off Concert with celebration for Team USA High Dive Athletes
Private Stock Band is the most sought-after entertainment in the event industry. Being together for over 20 years contributes to the band’s amazing chemistry that shines through with every high-energy performance. Voted the #1 Party Band in Florida, Private Stock is the only band in the event industry that features Top 10 Hit Recording Artists and stars from the hit show, Legends. Private Stock's musicians are all multi-talented and versatile, with an extensive song list consisting of Top 40, the 50's & 60's, Rock & Roll, Motown, Soul, 70's Disco, Classic Rock, 80's, 90's, Latin and Country.
