A fun time will be had by all this Saturday for the City of Hollywood’s Annual Cardboard Boat Race and watch more than 50 Cardboard Boat Crews compete in their boats made entirely of cardboard! The Race sets sail on Hollywood’s North Lake on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hollywood Marina at 700 Polk Street, Hollywood, Florida 33019.

All boats must be built off-site, in advance and according to specifications outlined in your registration packet. This is a fun, family oriented event, and they'd love for you to be a part of the action. Create a team name and theme for your vessel and come join in on the fun and excitement. Landlubbers will gather to cheer as the crews paddle in head-to-head competition for the coveted trophies in categories such as: “People’s Choice,” “Best Team Spirit,” “Fastest Vessel,” “Most Creative Design” and “Most Spectacular Sinking.”

See the innovative designs and witness the sheer will to win all the racers share. Be amazed and amused as they speed across the water in their quest for the ultimate prize - the coveted trophy. The fun begins at 10:00 a.m.! Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Pre-registration has ended and day-of event registration is allowed if space is available.
