May brings an array of live, extraordinary performances to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Grammy, Stellar and Dove Award-Winning Gospel Great Fred Hammond ("Blessed") with his buttery, tender voice is bringing back the “Festival of Praise Tour” for 2022 with Six-Time GRAMMY®-Winner Israel Houghton and Gospel Music Hall-Of-Famer Hezekiah Walker ("Every Praise") to the Au-Rene Theater on Sunday, May 1st, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Included in Essence Magazine’s list of the “50 Greatest Male Singers Of All Time,” Hammond has topped Billboard Charts and sold millions of records. The Festival Of Praise Tour once again promises to be an unforgettable hand-clapping and foot-stomping, get you up and out of your seat worship explosion with a production and stage sets that are unmatched from any Gospel Tour. America's Favorite TV Personality, Best-Selling Author and Powerhouse Businesswoman Lala Kent delivers her wit, humor and brutal honesty live on stage as the Broward Center and AEG Presents bring “Give Them Lala Live: The Brand New Tour” to the Amaturo Theater on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. Fans who have been listening to her Podcast and following her life unfold on camera, can now be a participant in the madness and expect behind-the-scenes stories, unfiltered commentary, interactive games & segments, audience advice, Q&A and possibly some special guest appearances. This performance is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Tickets are $34.50-$54.50 with VIP Packages available for $139.50 & $189.50 that include a meet & greet.

The Bank Of America: Broadway In Fort Lauderdale Season, presented by Broadway Across America, Florida Theatrical Association and the Broward Center presents Pretty Woman: The Musical in the Au-Rene Theater from Wednesday, May 4th, 2022 to Sunday, May 15th, 2022. After an incredible run on Broadway, this Audience Choice Award-Winner is now on tour with one of Hollywood’s most beloved stories of all time which is brought to life by a powerhouse creative team representing the best of music, Hollywood and Broadway. Featuring Direction and Choreography by the two-time Tony Award® Winner Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde), an original score by Grammy Winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance (“Summer of ’69,” “Heaven”) and a book by the Movie’s Legendary Director Garry Marshall and Screenwriter J.F. Lawton, Pretty Woman: The Musical lifts spirits and lightens hearts. Performance times vary. Tickets begin at $35 with Spirit Level Club tickets at $140.

Action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances, Legally Blonde: Teen Spring Musical is presented at the Amaturo Theater on Friday, May 6th, 2022 and Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Presented in partnership with The Performance Project School of the Arts, the musical features advanced students from the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center on the Broward Center Campus, whose classes in advanced techniques in acting, singing and dance were integrated into the rehearsal process. The Fabulously Fun Award-Winning Musical is based on the adored Movie that follows the transformation of Elle Woods. Determined to get her ex-boyfriend back, she charms her way into Harvard Law School and along the way, tackles stereotypes and scandals in the pursuit of her dreams. Tickets are $20.

Students in the Broward Center's Advanced Musical Theater Workshop at the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center star in Seussical Jr. in the Amaturo Theater on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 and Thursday, May 12th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. The students in grades 4-12, have been studying in small groups to strengthen techniques in singing, dancing and acting as they rehearsed the musical. "Oh, the things you can think of" when Dr. Seuss' best-loved characters collide and cavort in an unforgettable musical caper. Horton the Elephant, The Cat In The Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in this fantastical musical extravaganza. Tickets are $15.

John Ondrasik leads a one-man band as Five for Fighting with String Quartet comes to the Amaturo Theater on Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. Five for Fighting rose to fame in 2001 with the strength of the Pop/Rock Ballad “Superman (It's Not Easy).” The song was a deeply-felt, worldwide mega-hit, which served as an Unofficial Anthem Of Healing following the September 11th, 2001, Terrorist Attacks. Another Top 40 Hit, "100 Years," followed three years later, thus cementing Five for Fighting's status as one of the decade's leading balladeers. Many other hits followed and six studio albums have since been released. He's had songs featured in 350 Films, TV Shows and Advertisements. His talents have extended beyond himself as he's penned tunes for artists ranging from: Josh Groban, Tim McGraw and The Backstreet Boys. Tickets for this concert presented by the Broward Center and AEG Presents are $39.50-$59.50.

Sweet as pie and sharp as cheddar, the terminally delightful BenDeLaCreme is known for combining her background in the performing and visual arts with a love of spectacle, glamor and Saturday morning cartoons – dazzling crowds near and far. Presented by the Broward Center and AEG Presents, BenDeLaCreme will perform at the Amaturo Theater on Friday, May 20th, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. She has toured throughout the world, premiered in three critically acclaimed solo shows off-Broadway, as well as written, directed and produced a myriad of narrative works and variety spectaculars that have played to sold-out audiences for over a decade. BenDeLaCreme has appeared on two Seasons of the Emmy Award-Winning RuPaul's Drag Race and was featured among the show's “15 Fan Favorites of All Time.” After being crowned "Miss Congeniality" in Season Six, she returned to compete on the Third Season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars on VH1 where she garnered more challenge wins than any other competitor in the show's history. This event is not appropriate for children under 12 years. Tickets are $44.50-$54.50 with $120 VIP tickets available which include a meet and greet.

Prepare to party with Max Weinberg’s Jukebox at the Amaturo Theater on Friday, May 27th, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. For 45 years Max Weinberg has held the drum chair behind Bruce Springsteen and The E Street band, playing before millions around the world. While anchoring the house band for Late Night with Conan O'Brien for 17 years, Weinberg enjoyed expanding his role as bandleader and resident music historian. Max Weinberg's Jukebox comes armed with an unlimited repertoire of Classic Songs encouraging the audience to create the set list in real time from a video menu of over 200 songs for his Crack Four-Piece Group to play on demand. Tickets are $45-$65.

Miami & The Limón Company featuring The Waldstein Sonata (Friday, May 13th, 2022); Miami City Ballet: Prodigal Son (Saturday, May 21st, 2022 - Sunday, May 22nd, 2022); The Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center presents The Israeli Dance Festival (Sunday, May 29th, 2022); Big Time Operator Inc. presents Alyssa Edwards: Life, Love & Lashes Tour (Tuesday, May 31st, 2022).
