This April, The Museum Of Discovery And Science (MODS) Invites Families To Explore Interactive Exhibitions, Immersive Imax Experiences And Hands-On Learning Opportunities Throughout The Month. From Hockey-Themed Activations And Outdoor Nature Programming To New Giant-Screen Films And Engaging Overnight Experiences, MODS Offers Exciting Ways For Guests Of All Ages To Learn, Play And Discover Together.

Traveling Exhibit Spotlight: HOCKEY: Faster Than Ever

Now Open – Sunday, May 3rd, 2026

HOCKEY: Faster Than Ever invites guests to explore the science behind hockey through interactive challenges focused on reaction time, strength and technology. Guests can discover how physics, engineering and innovation shape the sport, from equipment design to player performance. Presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, with additional support from Finally, the Florida Panthers Foundation, Florida Prepaid College Savings Plans and the Shannon and Johnathan Robertson Charitable Fund. Included with Museum admission.

Traveling Exhibit Spotlight: Game On! Adventure in Every Move

Now Open – Sunday, May 3rd, 2026

Game On! Adventure in Every Move invites guests to jump into life-sized interactive games that explore the fun of motion, balance and teamwork through hands-on play. Families can race through oversized challenges, test coordination and problem-solving skills and experience how movement, physics and strategy come together in dynamic, full-body gameplay. Designed for all ages, the exhibit blends creativity, collaboration and active learning to transform play into an engaging experience. Presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, with additional support from Finally, the Florida Panthers Foundation, Florida Prepaid College Savings Plans and the Shannon and Johnathan Robertson Charitable Fund. Power Play Weekends

Now – April • Saturdays 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Sundays 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Families can explore the science of movement and performance during Power Play Weekends at MODS. Hockey-inspired activities throughout the Museum invite guests to test reaction time, coordination and problem-solving skills while learning how physics and wellness support athletic performance. Faceoff Fundamentals Hockey Skills Clinic

Saturday, April 4th, 2026 • 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Guests can practice essential hockey skills including stick handling and passing during this hands-on clinic. Designed for all skill levels, the program blends athletic fundamentals with the science behind movement, coordination and performance. Included with Museum admission.

Food Forest Tours

Saturday, April 4th, 2026 – Sunday, April 5th, 2026 • Saturdays 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. | Sundays 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Guests can explore the MODS Food Forest during guided tours that highlight how fruits, herbs and tropical plants grow together in a sustainable ecosystem. Tours include a question-and-answer session focused on eco-friendly gardening practices. Included with Museum admission.

Scout Overnight: Mystery at MODS

Saturday, April 11th, 2026 • 6:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.

Scouts are invited to spend the night at MODS solving a Museum-wide mystery through interactive science activities and team-based challenges. Participants will explore forensic science concepts while working together to uncover clues and crack the case. Advance registration required.

IMAX® Documentary Opening: Sea Otters: A Wild Family Adventure

Sea Otters: A Wild Family Adventure follows the journey of a young sea otter pup as it learns to survive along the rugged Pacific coastline. Through stunning cinematography and engaging storytelling, the film highlights the important role sea otters play in maintaining healthy ocean ecosystems.

Ladybug Release

Saturday, April 18th, 2026 • 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Guests can take part in a live ladybug release while learning about the important role these beneficial insects play in maintaining balanced ecosystems. Sensory-Friendly Sunday Morning

MODS offers a FREE sensory-friendly experience designed for guests with sensory sensitivities. The Museum environment is adapted with adjusted lighting and sound, along with supportive resources to create a comfortable and inclusive visit.
