A Whole New World: Disney’s Aladdin JR Performed By The Hochberg Lower School

Disney’s Aladdin JR is a musical production that is based on the hit Disney movie Aladdin, which was released in 1992. This musical adaptation was created by Music Theatre International and is specifically designed for young performers. The show features all of the memorable songs and characters from the movie, as well as some new songs and scenes that are unique to the stage production and it's coming to Aventura.

The story of Aladdin is a classic tale of a young street urchin who finds a magic lamp with a genie inside. With the help of the genie, Aladdin is able to win the heart of Princess Jasmine and defeat the evil Jafar. The musical follows this same storyline, but with a few modifications to make it more suitable for the stage.

One of the most notable changes from the movie to the stage production is the addition of new songs. While all of the classic songs from the movie, such as “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me,” are included, there are also new songs that are specifically written for the stage production. The Hochberg Lower School will be presenting Disney’s Aladdin JR. featuring its students on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023 and Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 and all attendees are required to have a ticket including student and lap tickets.

Parking
Free parking is available in the lots adjacent to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in front of the Aventura Community Recreation Center and the Aventura City of Excellence School.

Valet service is available for most performances at $20 per vehicle. Valet parking is located at the main entrance of the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in the circular drive. There is a convenient drop-off area in front of the building.
