More than an event, The Big Woof Festival is a movement to inspire adoption, celebrate pet families and strengthen community bonds. A portion of the festival proceeds will benefit PAWS4you Rescue, a Miami-based non-profit dog shelter that visualizes a world where pets are safe from the threat of euthanasia and live fully in the comfort of loving homes.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Big Woof Festival to showcase the joy and importance of rescue,” said Carol Caridad, Founder of PAWS4you Rescue. “This event not only celebrates the bond between people and their dogs, but it also shines a spotlight on the lifesaving work we do every day at PAWS4you. We can’t wait to meet new families and help connect them with dogs in need.”
The greater Miami area is the 8th largest U.S. metro for dog ownership, with an estimated 1.25 million residents living in homes with dogs—making it an ideal city for a large-scale, dog-themed event. Known as the “dog city” for its strong foot traffic, dog-friendly businesses and vibrant community spaces, Coconut Grove is the natural home for The Big Woof Festival, which is sure to become an annual tradition.
“Coconut Grove is all about community and connection, and The Big Woof Festival captures both perfectly,” said Mark Burns, Executive Director of the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID). “We’re proud to welcome Miami’s first large-scale dog festival to Regatta Park and to celebrate the special bond between people and their pets. It’s events like this that make the Grove such a vibrant and welcoming place for families, visitors, and of course, our four-legged friends.” For a Woofin great time, Big Woof Festival tickets went on sale on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025.
