As The New Year Begins And Resolutions Rise, Plantation Resident And Licensed Mental Health Counselor Francine Marks-Weinstein, LMHC, Is Encouraging The Community To Shift The Focus From Pressure-Filled Goals To Mindful Presence And Emotional Well-Being.
Marks-Weinstein, a longtime advocate for Mental Wellness, is
the author of Live Mindfully 52 Ways, a practical and accessible guide offering weekly mindfulness practices to reduce anxiety, improve resilience, and restore clarity. Designed to be simple and realistic for everyday life, the book highlights small, consistent habits that can make a big impact on our Mental Health.
"January often brings the belief that we need to reinvent ourselves," says Marks-Weinstein. "But what people truly need is compassion, grounding, and permission to show up just as they are one mindful moment at a time."
With stress, burnout, and emotional fatigue continuing to rise, Marks-Weinstein's guidance arrives at the perfect time.
Through community engagement, speaking events, and her writing, she supports individuals and families in approaching the year with awareness rather than anxiety.
Her message for 2026:
"You don't need a 'new you.' You need space to breathe, to notice the present, and to honor the person you already are."
Live Mindfully 52 Ways is available online and through local community events and author appearances.
