This October, local restaurants and venues are thinking pink—and inviting you to do the same. To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, InterContinental Miami will gleam pink all October long in support of BRCAStrong, a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization aimed at supporting women who have been affected by Breast Cancer and Gynecological Cancers regardless of Predisposition to a Hereditary Cancer. Financial support to routine monitoring or preventative surgery for Previvors, Thrivers, and Survivors throughout the journey towards health, positive self-image and inspired living.
On Wednesday, October 1st from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., hotel guests and locals were invited to join the fight against Breast Cancer as ICM Goes Pink in partnership with Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute. To kick off the celebration, guests heard from influential speakers from Baptist Health in an event moderated by Jawan Strader of NBC6 Miami. Complimentary Rosé wine and light bites were served.
In addition, on Tuesday October 14th, the InterContinental Miami partners with Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute and Miami’s favorite yoga personality, Papa Guru Nicolay Del Salto for a special one-of-a-kind yoga flow session on the hotel's SkyLawn. Guests are encouraged to wear pink workout attire in support of the themed class, which also features an inspiring sound bowl healing session at the conclusion of the class. Stretch and commune with like-minded yogis for a great cause, while enjoying stunning views of Biscayne Bay. Session begins at 7:00 p.m. After class, guests are encouraged to stay and connect with others in the community. Tickets are priced at $20 and all proceeds from ticket sales are being donated to BRCAStrong to help the non-profit continue to provide women in immediate need of post-mastectomy surgery care kits.
