The Eagerly Anticipated Return Of A Miami Culinary Landmark Is Finally Approaching. Hereford Grill Will Officially Reopen To The Public For Dinner On Friday, September 5th at 782 Northwest 42nd Avenue (Le Jeune Road), Reintroducing A Legacy Of Flavor Under The Leadership Of Da Silva Hospitality (DSH), The Group Behind Coral Gables’ Acclaimed Authentic Italian Dining Destination, Zucca. The Steakhouse, Which Closed During The Pandemic, Returns Bigger And Bolder Than Ever, Thanks To A Classically Elegant, Refreshed Design, A Menu That Redefines The Modern Steakhouse Experience, And DSH Owner And CEO Erasmo Da Silva’s Bold Vision.

“Hereford Grill is more than just a restaurant – it’s a piece of Miami’s culinary heritage,” says Da Silva. “We’ve honored its legacy while reimagining it for today’s diner, with a renewed focus on quality, sustainability, and bold, fire-driven flavors. We’re thrilled to welcome back fans of the original experience as well as new guests eager to take part in the next chapter of this iconic space.”

Offering indoor and outdoor seating for approximately 250 guests – including accommodations for private dining and large groups – the new Hereford Grill is poised to become a premier destination for everyday dining, special occasions, and everything in between.

Under Da Silva’s auspices, the culinary team, having traveled to Argentina and collaborating with Michelin Guide-recognized Corte Comedor, has crafted a fire-forward menu that blends old-school steakhouse sensibilities with contemporary innovation. The heart of the concept is the steaks. Wet-aged and cooked over charcoal and wood fire, the steak selection includes premium American Wagyu and Certified Angus Beef sourced from three well-known suppliers, Snake River Farms, Niman Ranch, and Urien Loza. Choices Cuts include Boneless Ribeye, “Manhattan Cut” New York Steak, Center-Cut Filet, and more featured on the “Butcher’s Table.” A curated selection of sauces and butters stands to elevate each and every cut. House-made Sausages, featuring classic and gourmet takes on chorizo and morcilla, will also be on offer. The team is dedicated to serving only the finest cuts of meat, each carefully chosen for its exceptional quality, traceability, and sustainability. Every piece that graces the grill reflects our unwavering commitment to responsible sourcing and delivering authentic, flavorful experiences.

After much R&D, tasting, travel, and painstaking refinement, Hereford Grill’s new offerings are ready to be unveiled. The menu brings together steakhouse classics and inventive touches, while continuing to pay homage to traditional Hereford Specialties. Menu highlights include diverse appetizers such as Sweetbreads with chickpea puree and Beef Tenderloin Grass-Fed Tartare with fried sweet potato strings. An array of salads, such as Endive with fried capers, Pecorino cheese, toasted peanuts, lemon, and an anchovy dressing, riffs on classic steak house salads, while elevated main dishes, such as Braised Short Rib with a black garlic and thyme sauce topped with crispy onions or Pork Chop with an apple and rosemary sauce, are sure to become fan favorites. Thoughtfully prepared accompaniments will be available to complete each dish, including Organic Roasted Carrots with garlic confit, yogurt, toasted hazelnuts, and mint gremolata, Roasted Sweet Potato with smoked butter and black salt, and Grilled Broccoli served with charred onion puree and whole grain dijon mustard, among other delectable selections.

In the spirit of the frontier, which serves as an inspiration for Hereford Grill’s open fire cooking, where stories flowed as freely as the whiskey, guests are invited to explore the curated cocktail menu, where drinks follow suit. Each drink is crafted with intention, rooted in tradition, and poured with pride. The Signature Cocktails pay homage to the grit and character of legends like Teddy Roosevelt and Sir Thomas Carre – bold, refined, and unforgettable. Featured cocktails include El Gaucho Gimlet featuring White Rum, Grey Goose Vodka, charred coconut, agave syrup, and lime juice; Mrs. Champagne Cocktail featuring Gin, Vodka, raspberries, mint, Peychaud’s bitters, and Champagne; and the Teddy Roosevelt Whisky Sour featuring Rye Whiskey, fresh ginger root, smoked simple syrup, Malbec wine, lemon juice, and Angostura bitters.

To enhance the guest experience throughout the week, Hereford Grill will also feature a robust lineup of daily specials. Monday through Friday, guests can enjoy 2-for-1 drink specials during Happy Hour, while Tuesdays offer an All-Day Happy Hour experience from open to close throughout the restaurant. Wednesdays are perfect for wine lovers with Unwind Wednesdays, featuring special pricing on select wines. Thursdays will come complete with live performances by vocalist Simon Lopez, and Fridays signal the end of the week and an opportunity to cut loose with live music. Saturdays will spotlight the Butcher’s Special – a composed meal for two, consisting of a special premium cut served with sides.
