Take an Active Role in Your Community: Don’t Miss Out On All The Activities Taking Place in Hollywood

The City of Hollywood has multiple community/public meetings scheduled over the next several weeks, at various times on a variety of topics. There are multiple ways to participate to learn more and to share your ideas and suggestions. The meetings will include:
Virtual Public Meeting: Recapture the Swale - Thursday, October 5 at 6pm
The citywide “Recapture the Swale” program focuses on restoring the usefulness of swales as a green stormwater infrastructure and flood control/protection measure. The City is in the process of restoring swales throughout the City as part of this program. All are invited to attend a community meeting to learn more about the importance of swales and what you can do to help control flooding in your neighborhood. Sunset Park Master Planning Meetings at these locations on the following dates from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.:

• Tuesday, October 17 at Kay Gaither Community Center – 6291 Funston St.
• Thursday, October 19 at Oak Lake Community Center – 3190 North 56th Ave.
• Tuesday, October 24 at Hollywood Beach Culture & Community Center – 1301 South Ocean Dr.
• Wednesday, October 25 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center – 2400 Charleston St.
