United Way Broward Celebrated Another Successful Annual Mayors’ Gala On Saturday, April 25th, 2026, At The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Where Influential Community Leaders, Philanthropists And Change Makers Gathered For A Powerful Evening Dedicated To Strengthening Lives And Advancing Solutions To One Of Broward County’s Most Pressing Challenges: Affordable Housing.

This year’s gala spotlighted United Way Broward’s United for Housing initiatives and featured a major announcement that funds raised from the event will support housing initiatives, affordability efforts, and a building recently acquired by United Way Broward to help advance this work and expand impact for individuals and families in need.

The prestigious evening brought together more than 800 Broward County municipal officials, business leaders, community partners and supporters united by a shared commitment to building a stronger, more resilient Broward County. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, dinner, and special live entertainment by Joey Fatone (NSYNC, television, film and Broadway). Attendees also watched three impactful videos highlighting real-life cases of families/individuals who have been supported through United Way Broward’s programs, offering a powerful look into the organization’s work in action. Several of the featured people were in attendance, making the experience even more meaningful and reinforcing the tangible difference these programs make within the community.

“The evening reflected the power of what is possible when a community comes together around solutions,” said Kathleen Cannon, President & CEO of United Way Broward. “The support generated through this event will help expand efforts to address housing stability and affordability while strengthening the foundation of support so many Broward residents rely upon.”

The evening also highlighted the broader impact of United Way Broward through more than 130 programs focused on housing stability, financial security, health and youth opportunities.

Serving as Event Co-Chairs, Allison and Andy Cagnetta, Founder of Transworld Business Advisors of Florida, helped lead the evening’s philanthropic efforts, reinforcing the community-wide commitment needed to address housing challenges and support long-term solutions.

“This evening proved what’s possible when a community unites behind a shared mission,” said Co-Chair Andy Cagnetta, Founder of Transworld Business Advisors of Florida. “The impact of that collective commitment will be felt across Broward.”

United Way Broward’s Annual Mayors’ Gala continues to serve as one of Broward’s signature philanthropic events, bringing together public and private sector leaders to invest in solutions that strengthen the community for generations to come.
