Embark On An Awe-Inspiring Journey Across Some Of The Most Remote And Pristine Environments On Earth With The Stunning New Giant Screen Documentary, Ocean Paradise Opened Last Week At The AutoNation® IMAX® Theater At The Museum Of Discovery And Science (MODS). Viewers Will Be Immersed In The Breathtaking Sights Of Islands, Atolls And Coral Reefs On The Far Reaches Of The Pacific Ocean—Largely Untouched By Humans.
Narrated by Diane Lane with both wonder and urgency, Ocean Paradise captures never-before-seen footage of extraordinary locations, including Palmyra Atoll within the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument, Midway Atoll as part of Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument and Rose Atoll Marine National Monument in American Samoa.
Audiences will be transported into a world of dazzling wildlife, crystal-clear waters and tropical beauty, while learning about the vital role these places play in maintaining the health of our planet. The film also explores the storied past of these atolls—from their pivotal role in the WWII Pacific Theater to today’s cutting-edge ecological research and conservation initiatives.
"Ocean Paradise is more than just a visual spectacle—it is a reminder of what’s at stake as climate change, rising sea levels and plastic pollution threaten these fragile ecosystems," said Joseph P. Cox, President and CEO of MODS. "We are proud to bring this important story to our community and share the wonder of nature left untouched by civilization."
Produced by Giant Screen Films in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Ocean Paradise highlights the beauty, history and environmental significance of these marine national monuments. The film underscores how vital it is to care for such fragile ecosystems—now and for generations to come.
“Giant Screen Films is thrilled to be launching Ocean Paradise. The film combines exceptional cinematography for the giant screen with impactful storytelling and environmental messaging,” said Mark Katz, SVP of Film Distribution. “Diane Lane, a passionate ocean conservation advocate, delivers a truly heartfelt narration and the familiar songs of Coldplay and Jack Johnson are artfully employed by the filmmakers to create an excellent overall pacing. We expect Ocean Paradise to be a huge box office success for theaters in the years ahead.”
The AutoNation® IMAX® Theater at the Museum of Discovery and Science is located at 401 Southwest 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33312.
