Aventura Summer Park Hours Have Expanded

All City Parks have updated hours of operation. When is your favorite Park open this summer? Founders Park, Peace Park and Veterans Park are open daily (excluding Tuesdays) from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Waterways Park is open Monday through Friday (excluding Tuesdays) from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On the weekday(s) when the neighboring Don Soffer Aventura High School is not in session, the Park will be open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For your four legged friends Waterways Dog Park is open daily (excluding Wednesdays) from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Founders Park

The 12-Acre Park is divided into two regional sections: north and south (Founders Park Bayside). The northern section of Founders Park features a Staffed Welcome Center; a quarter-mile, four-stationed, Exercise Trail; a completely renovated, age-appropriate and Handicap Accessible playground; sun shelters; tennis courts (two clay and one hard); a multipurpose, open-space, athletic field to accommodate Baseball, Softball, Football or Soccer. Additionally, the Founders ParkSplashPad, a recreational water play area, is located inside the Park. The southern section of the Park (Bayside) consists of tropical landscaped walkways, a bay walk overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and is home to the Aventura Community Green Garden. Public Restrooms and Vending Machines are also conveniently located on site.

Peace Park

This 1.5 Acre Park includes an open play area, one playground with protective screening for children, and an adult exercise area. Located adjacent to the waterfront promenade, the Park provides a sense of tranquility where guests can enjoy a light bay breeze while engaging with the community, playing, exercising, or simply being outdoors. For the Safety of all Park Guests, children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the fitness/exercise area.

Veterans Park

Dedicated to those who have Served our Country, this Two-Acre Park features a Restroom, covered playground, Soccer Net and open play area for children. Birthday parties or reservations are not permitted for this Park.

Waterways Park

Waterways Park is Seven-Acres and features a covered playground, shaded picnic tables, an exercise path with two fitness stations, a multi-purpose lighted athletic field, covered patio, outdoor shelter, Restrooms and Park Office with parking for 85 cars. To uphold quality standards, the Park regularly closes for maintenance.

Waterways Dog Park

Waterways Dog Park is a 1.5 Acre Waterfront Park equipped for pets to exercise off leash. The Park features open space, two comfort stations with doggie water fountains, doggie showers and a shaded patio with benches for Owners to relax and enjoy. Waterways Dog Park is open to Aventura Residents only with a Valid and Current Aventura ID Card.

SplashPad Hours Expand for Summer

Founders Park SplashPad, the City of Aventura’s interactive water playground for children, is open for the summer season!

The SplashPad is open to Aventura Residents only and will be open through Sunday, August 28th, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, excluding Tuesdays. Aventura Residents who have not created an account on the system must create a new account. To create a new account, follow these simple steps:

• Visit us On-Line at: cityofaventura.com/ors.
• On the Dashboard Page, find and click the Create Account Button.
• Follow the instructions to set up the account, including family members.
• Upload picture(s) to be used for Identification.
• Verify Address and Residency.

New accounts will be verified before an Aventura ID Card is issued. Once you have completely created and verified your account, please E-mail: parksrec@cityofaventura.com to request a copy of your Aventura ID Card(s).
