As Fall Takes Hold In South Florida, The Broward Center For The Performing Arts Welcomes Audiences With A November Lineup That Celebrates Artistry In Every Form—From Broadway Spectacle To Homegrown Innovation. With The Arrival Of Water For Elephants And The Launch Of The New Amplify Arts Initiative, The Month Showcases Performances That Capture The Creativity And Energy Of The Region While Setting The Stage For The Holidays Ahead.
The month begins on Saturday, November 1st, when the Amaturo Theater hosts Sons of Mystro and Alexander Star and the Golden People at 8:00 p.m. The concert fuses violin mastery and hip-hop soul in a high-energy celebration of local artistry. Part of the Broward Center’s new initiative, Amplify Arts, the performance spotlights the voices shaping South Florida’s arts scene. The program invests in local talent at every stage of their careers—from emerging to celebrated—and reflects the Broward Center’s ongoing commitment to nurturing creativity and opportunity across the region. Families can enjoy Cat Kid Comic Club: The Musical in the Amaturo Theater on Sunday, November 2nd, at 1:00 p.m. This imaginative new musical from the creators of Dog Man the Musical brings Dav Pilkey’s bestselling book to life with humor, heart and puppetry.
Momentum builds on Friday, November 7th, when Live Dead & Brothers, presented by the Broward Center and AEG, channels the improvisational spirit of the Grateful Dead in the Amaturo Theater at 7:30 p.m.
Amplify Arts continues to shine with new performances that showcase the depth of South Florida’s creative community. Arts Prevail Project returns with The Happening: A Theatrical Mixtape Volume VII in the Abdo New River Room from Saturday, November 8th - Saturday, November 15th, blending spoken word, music and movement into a powerful reflection on culture and connection. Gafieira Rio Miami with special guest Tony Succar brings Brazilian rhythm and Latin flair to the Amaturo Theater on Saturday, November 8th at 7:30 p.m.
That same evening, Randy Rainbow brings his sharp wit and musical parody to the Au-Rene Theater at 8:00 p.m., delighting audiences with clever commentary and big laughs.
As South Florida gears up for the holidays, Wine Tasting with Master Sommelier George Miliotes (21+) invites guests to experience a curated wine journey on Sunday, November 9th at 1:30 p.m. in Marti’s Bistro, offering expert tips on pairing the perfect wines for holiday dinners.
From intimate experiences to Broadway blockbusters, November brings a spectrum of stories to Broward Center stages. The Bank of America Broadway in Fort Lauderdale series continues with Water for Elephants in the Au-Rene Theater from Tuesday, November 11th - Sunday, November 23rd. Adapted from the bestselling novel, this new musical combines a sweeping love story, breathtaking stagecraft and a vibrant score that transports audiences under the big top for an unforgettable theatrical experience.
Audiences can also look forward to laughter and illusion later in the month. Shayne Smith brings his fast-paced, self-aware stand-up to the Amaturo Theater on Thursday, November 13th at 8:00 p.m., followed by illusionist Jason Ladanye, who displays mind-bending sleight-of-hand magic on Friday, November 14th at 7:30 p.m. The laughter continues when Gabriel Rutledge performs in the Amaturo Theater on Saturday, November 15th at 7:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, November 18th, the Youth Fall Musical: 13 JR opens in the Amaturo Theater, running through November 19. This coming-of-age story follows Evan Goldman as he navigates friendship, identity and belonging after moving from New York City to small-town Indiana. Performed by students in grades 4–10 from the Broward Center and The Performance Project, the production celebrates self-discovery and inclusion. Broward County Cultural Division provides support for The Performance Project.
Amplify Arts returns that weekend when Pioneer Winter Collective debuts Apollo in the Abdo New River Room from Friday, November 21st - Sunday, November 23rd, a multidisciplinary performance exploring identity, mythology and movement.
