We All Need To Unite Against This Hate

This is sad, that we as Jewish people, are still fighting Anti-Semitism in America, it was wonderful to see so many people join in supporting those in Harm’s way. Make no mistake, Hammas is a terrorist organiza-tion. They have continued to vow to wipe Israel off of the map. I, personally have witnessed the impact of war on the peaceful communities in Israel, when I visited after the last attacks. Imagine walking down your street and your neighbor’s home, is in rubble or having to seek shelter when air raid horns sound?

Israel, is the only democratic country in the Middle East. The history of this region cannot be rewritten to suit one nation or country. As a note, when I went with the US Conference of Mayors to Saudi Arabia, the Museum did not even have Israel on their version of the world map. Many that I spoke with, supported a two-state solution, but certainly, are not vocal about their positions. At the rally, I had the chance to speak with an older gentleman about the history of the region. History is so important to understand, the centuries of oppression. He summed it up in an email to me. The major point, being that there was never a Palestinian State.

"Before Israel, there was a British mandate, not a Palestinian state. Before the British Mandate, there was the Ottoman Empire, not a Palestinian state. Before the Ottoman Empire, there was the Islamic state of the Mamluks of Egypt, not a Palestinian state. Before the Islamic state of the Mamluks of Egypt, there was the Ayubid Arab-Kurdish Empire, not a Palestinian state. Godfrey IV of Boulogne, known as Godfrey de Bouillon, conqueror of Jerusalem in 1099, before the Ayubid Empire, there was the Frankish and Christian Kingdom of Jerusalem, not a Palestinian state. Before the Kingdom of Jerusalem, there was the Umayyad and Fatimid empires, not a Palestinian state. Before the Umayyad and Fatimid empires, there was the Byzantine Empire, not a Palestinian state. Before the Byzantine Empire, there were the Sassanids, not a Palestinian state. Before the Sassanid Empire, there was the Byzantine Empire, not a Palestinian state. Before the Byzantine Empire, there was the Roman Empire, not a Palestinian state. Before the Roman Empire, there was the Hasmonean state, not a Palestinian state. Before the Hasmonean state, there was the Seleucid, not a Palestinian state. Before the Seleucid Empire, there was the Empire of Alexander the Great, not a Palestinian state. Before the Empire of Alexander the Great, there was the Persian Empire, not a Palestinian state. Before the Persian Empire, there was the Babylonian Empire, not a Palestinian state. Before the Babylonian Empire, there were the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah, not a Palestinian state. Before the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah, there was the Kingdom of Israel, not a Palestinian state. Before the Kingdom of Israel, there was the theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel, not a Palestinian state. Before the theocracy of the twelve tribes of Israel, there was an agglomeration of independent Canaanite City-Kingdoms, not a Palestinian state.

The Jewish finally have a home, they have the right to defend it and over, the past years, they have also had to defend themselves. Now we are having to defend ourselves, here. WE ALL need to unite against this hate. In my opinion, these terrorist groups which include far right Hammas, White Supremacists, KKK, Skin Heads, Neo-Nazi, Proud Boys, sadly, the far left Antifa and BLM Movements, which have been hijacked by extremists and are simply groups fueled by feeding lies to individuals, that are disenfranchised.

The combination of the former President, not standing strong against these hate groups and economic unrests have added fuel to this fire, that needs to be put out, now. Social media and the cowardly trolls, hiding behind their computers, spewing out, lie after lie, need to be called out and stopped.

I also saw this, on my visit to the Middle East for Government and Leadership matters regarding Israel and the commitment to education and matters of economic success. The stark contrast to Israeli cities to others, across the border, are real. In Saudi Arabia, the King has set into place an economic development plan to build their county. Investments in educational and Economic Centers are making a difference in the lives of their constituents. These countries need to focus on investing in their people, not guns and missiles to annihilate Israel.
