Join the volunteer team as an usher and meet exciting people who share your passion for live theater, while giving back to the community at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Volunteering not only brings the performing arts to life for all their patrons, but for volunteers as well. You will be joining a team of your Aventura neighbors and friends from throughout South Florida who constitute the volunteer family.

Ushering offers volunteers the opportunity to expand their horizons, explore new interests and contribute to the cultural community of South Florida. Volunteers commit to a regular weekly shift (choosing a regular evening or matinee) for a full season. The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center volunteer ushers are a dynamic mix of theater-lovers, from Retired Seniors and Baby Boomers, to High School Students who may receive Community Service Hours.

To ensure the safety of volunteers and guests the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center Health & Safety Guidelines have been developed in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic and follow the guidance of local and state health officials and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

Volunteering Requirements:
• Full time year-round South Florida Resident
• Commit to a regular (weekly) shift day or night of the week
• Attend formal orientation training date as scheduled by the volunteer office
• Comply with all standards and policies as provided in Volunteer Manual
• Ability to escort patrons to seats in all levels of the theater
• Great attitude to serve as needed

The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center is managed by the Broward Center for the Performing Arts (PACA) and continues to bring an extraordinary new world of cultural opportunities to one of the most desirable and vibrant destinations, Aventura – The City of Excellence.

Self parking is free and available in the lots adjacent to the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center in front of the Aventura Community Recreation Center and the Aventura City of Excellence School.
