City of Hollywood Achieves Reaccreditation
Congratulations to Hollywood’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (PRCA) staff on their recent reaccreditation by the National Recreation and Parks Association’s Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). The department has been CAPRA accredited every 5-years since 2010.

National accreditation requires park and recreation agencies to respond to 154 standards representing elements of effective and efficient park and recreation operations. Often the process helps identify efficiencies and heighten areas of accountability, all of which translate into higher quality service and operation to benefit the community. Standards include having a Parks Master Plan, ADA Transition Plan, Risk Management Policy and more. There are currently only 197 Accredited Parks and Recreation Agencies in the United States and Hollywood is proudly only one of 26 in the State of Florida.

For more information about the accreditation, visit: https://www.nrpa.org/certification/accreditation/CAPRA/. Check out www.hollywoodfl.org and find out about all of the amenities, programs and events that Hollywood parks have to offer.
