September 20, 2024
In a bid to support its mission of enhancing the lives of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, the Ann Storck Center is set to host a special fundraising dinner at the renowned Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, September 24th. The event will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Fogo de Chão, located at 201 East Las Olas Boulevard, Suite#: 100, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301.
This fundraising dinner promises to be an unforgettable evening, not only because of its cause but also for the exclusive culinary experience it offers. Guests will have the opportunity to be among the first to savor Fogo de Chão’s newly introduced menu items, which include: Caviar Brioche, Whole Blistered Branzino, and Roasted Bone Marrow. For those looking to enjoy a broader selection, the restaurant’s Best of Brazil Summer Menu, starting at $39, showcases the rich flavors of Brazilian cuisine.
Additionally, Fogo de Chão will feature an All-Day Happy Hour at Bar Fogo, where attendees can indulge in $5 Beers, $8 South American Wines, and $10 Brazilian-Inspired Cocktails. This special offer is part of the restaurant’s ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience.
The evening will also feature a raffle, providing attendees with a chance to win exciting prizes while supporting a noble cause. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Ann Storck Center, which provides vital services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
The Ann Storck Center, a Fort Lauderdale-based NonProfit, has been a beacon of support and care for over 65 years. Originally founded as the Pediatric Care Center, it became the Ann Storck Center in 1981. Today, it serves more than 300 individuals daily through a diverse range of programs designed to foster growth, learning, and inclusion.
The center's comprehensive services include critical care, educational programs, and residential support. With the capacity to accommodate 96 residents, the Ann Storck Center operates six separate sites, including a School/Therapy Center, an Adult Day Training Program, two Intermediate Care Facilities and ten Community-Integrated Group Homes. These facilities are designed to offer a blend of Specialized Care and Independent Living, tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
The forthcoming dinner at Fogo de Chão is more than just a fundraising event; it is a celebration of the partnership between the Ann Storck Center and the community. “We are thrilled to partner with Fogo de Chão for this special evening,” said a spokesperson from the event. “This event not only provides a wonderful dining experience but also helps us raise critical funds to support our ongoing programs and services.”
Fogo de Chão, known for its authentic Brazilian Churrasco, offers a unique dining experience with its Open-Air Churrasco bar. Guests can watch Skilled Gaucho Chefs demonstrate the art of Churrasco—an impressive display of butchering, preparing, and grilling various cuts of meat over an open flame. The restaurant's ambiance is complemented by its large, covered patios, making it an ideal venue for an enjoyable evening of fine dining.
