The Aventura Branch Library has a wide variety of On-line and In-Person events. There will be Talk, Read, Sing for Preschoolers, a book discussion group, Chess/Checkers Club and much more. College Planning For High School Students:
Thursday, July 18th, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Online Event: Are you a high school student getting ready for college? Join college expert Valarie R. Austin as she guides students through their college planning checklist. Registration is required. Zoom Link will be emailed to registrants within 24 hours of the event start time. 12 Years of age and up.

Homework Help And Tutoring:
Saturday, July 20th & Saturday, July 27th, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Certified teachers meet with small groups of students in one-hour sessions to provide Homework Help and Tutoring in Reading, Math, and Science. Students are encouraged to bring Homework Material or School Assignments for assistance in specific subject areas. This free service is available to all students in grades K-12. Learn To Speak Haitian Creole:

Join us for Immersive Language classes and learn how to speak Haitian Creole. Classes are suitable for beginning to intermediate learners and are a great way to acquire basic language proficiency for workplace use or to enhance conversational skills. Department Of Veterans Affairs: Health Care For Homeless Veterans (HCHV):
Wednesday, August 7th, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
The Health Care for Homeless Veteran’s (HCHV) Outreach Program administered by the United States Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA) serves as the hub for a myriad of housing and other services that provide Veteran’s with a way to reach and assist homeless Veteran’s by offering them entry to VA Care, including those who are most vulnerable and not currently receiving services.
