42nd Annual South Florida Chassidic Chanukah Festival

The Chabad of South Broward presents the 42nd Annual South Florida Chassidic Chanukah Festival. A Hybrid Experience with social distance seating and seating near the stage. The event will take place Sunday, December 5th, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., the eighth Lichtel at The Big Easy Casino (formally Mardi Gras and the Hollywood Greyhound Track) one mile north of Gulfstream Park, 831 North Federal Highway in Hallandale Beach.

The concert will feature Mordechai Shapiro Live In Concert. As the tradition continues they will be lighting Florida’s Largest Menorah in celebration of the holiday. A gourmet dinner is available to all (Minimal Fee for Non Major Sponsors), VIP seats and VIP car sections for sponsors are available plus a spectacular light show!

As Chabad of South Broward concludes its 41st year as Leaders of Jewish Education, Outreach and Social Services, it is with great pride that we can share with you that some 210,000 people have attended our Chanukah Festivals our first 41 years!!!

For so many people, this was their first time at a Jewish event in their lives that made them feel proud to be Jewish!

Over the years, hundreds of families have become Shomer Shabbat, have sent their children to Jewish Day Schools, have refocused the homes that they run, to be inspired with Judaism, thanks to having their souls initially ignited at our Mega Chanukah Festivals!

The Mega Chanukah Festival has been the WORLD’S LARGEST Chanukah Festival for over four decades, has led to new levels of PIRSUMEI NISSA - the publicizing of the miracle of Chanukah - including the initiative in 1987 of the Chabad of South Broward and lighting the Menorah at the Joe Robbie Stadium on a Sunday Night Live ESPN game in Miami, in front of 75,000 fans with both teams on the field between The Dolphins and The Washington Redskins that was watched by millions of people.

Decades later, dozens of Chabad houses followed suit, with Menorah lightings at soccer games, hockey games, basketball games and football games, publicizing the miracle of Chanukah to tens of millions! It all began, when in 1987, Chabad of South Broward took the Rebbe’s initiative to promote Chanukah, beyond anything that existed before and gave Rabbi Tennehaus a blessing that the Annual South Florida Chanukah Festival should grow each year, as the lights on the Menorah grow each night.

The 42nd ANNUAL CHASSIDIC CHANUKAH FESTIVAL IS A JEWISH OUTREACH PROGRAM THAT IS INCOMPARABLE TO ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD!!! Thank you so much for partnering in our Holy Work as the cost of the Festival is way over $150,000! The Festival is a safe in-person Event, it is not a Virtual Event!
