Get Ready To Celebrate 100 Years Of Community Pride At The City Of Hollywood’s Annual Cardboard Boat Race, Taking Place This Saturday, November 8th At 10:00 a.m. At The Hollywood Marina, 700 Polk Street, Hollywood, Florida 33019. As Part Of Hollywood’s Centennial Celebration, This Crowd-Favorite Event Brings Together Families, Friends And Local Organizations For A Morning Of Fun, Creativity And A Little Friendly Competition On The Water.
More than 40 teams will put their imagination and craftsmanship to the test, building boats made entirely of cardboard and racing them across North Lake. Spectators can line the marina to cheer on their favorite crews as they compete for trophies in categories including “People’s Choice,” “Fastest Vessel,” “Most Creative Design” and the ever-popular “Most Spectacular Sinking.”
The event promises plenty of excitement for all ages, with music, food and beverages available for purchase throughout the day. Whether you’re supporting a team or just coming to watch the action, the Cardboard Boat Race is one of many can’t-miss moments in Hollywood’s Centennial Celebration.

Hollywood Beach Sweep
Saturday, November 8th from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The Hollywood Beach Sweep takes place on the second Saturday of every month from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Volunteers meet at Charnow Park, located at Garfield Street and A1A, to help keep our beautiful beach clean and pristine by collecting litter along the shoreline. Come out, make a difference and enjoy a morning of community and coastal care!
